    me and the good lady have a week or so off at the end of next month

    but instead of booking a week here or a week there we have a plan.

    we are gonna turn up at Heathrow airport .. and just find out what spaces they have on flights and just take one to a desination we feel could be ok .. then when we get there try and find accom cheesey grin


    anybody else tried this ??

    mmm lots of empty spaces on planes going to nice places like..............Iraq, Syria, Pakistan, Sudan, Ghana, Nigeria, all full when they arrive though!

    A mate was on a stag weekend in Dublin and while waiting to return in the airport another reveller announced that it was his wedding in 6 months time, and the stag would be in the next city that popped up on the Departures Board... their weekend in Rejkavik cost more than the groom's share of the honeymoon...

    Done it once with Freddie Laker , went to Gatwick , bought a standby and ended up in Florida , great two weeks , 200 squids there and back and the dollar was 2 1/2 to the pound , cant be bad Holiday planning 3777063607

    Have you looked at Stansted rather than Heathrow? Nearly all short-haul, plenty of choice, less of a bearpit...
