I dont want Scotty to go there but if it means bringing in some extra players then so be it.

Just asked my Spurs-supporting ex boss who we could possibly get in exchange. He reckons Jenas, Hutton, Bassong, Bentley or Pavluchenko (sp?). I cannot see any of them dropping to the Championship - especially as they would be available to play in the Mickey Mouse Europa League even if they are not in the PL squad of 25

More likely we will get their kids. Andreas Townsend did well for Millscum on loan last season apparently

West Ham are set to sign Paraguayan striker Brian Montenegro.

According to reports emanating from South America this afternoon, the young forward will offically sign a one-year deal with West Ham next Monday.

Speaking to Ultima Hora, Montenegro said: "I am happy for this transfer to English football, it is a very important league. Now I can only w**k to be accommodated in West Ham's first team.

"Thank God, I'm adapting well to the schedule and the system of life here. Now I will w**k hard to continue succeeding."

Montenegro is understood to have recently acquired an Italian passport, without which he would have been unable to move to London.

The striker is just one of two young South Americans linked with a move to London in recent weeks - the other being fellow Paraguayan youth international Jorge Ortega, who currently plays for Tacuary FBC.
