According to reports Wigan Athletic are interested in Leeds United striker Ross McCormack.
The Sunday Mirror claims Latics boss Roberto Martinez is eyeing the Scotland international.
However, it is understood that he will face a £2.5 million fight with West Ham United.
The Scot has sparked transfer interest after snubbing the offer of a new deal at Elland Road.

We don’t need any more strikers – we need to be looking for left and right backs and cover in central defence.

Clunge Rumours
For those that don't know, Clunge is an ITK within the club. Has been right more than wrong.

We know that, Sam and Dave's know that but that logic does not stand in the way of the gentleman of the press. We need a Cole player either as back up or preferably as an improvement. Our only options of a target man are Carew or Nouble. Neither up to the job. The Tree is a lottery-he claims he has been playing with an injury the last 8 weeks-I wish he had it earlier in the season!

Re: Silly Season Summer 2012
Again?? This one comes up almost every transfer window. We need a right winter anyhow-Taylor and Vaz Te fill the left slots.

Cole coming home
The Daily Mirror are reporting that Big Sam is looking to bring an old favourite back to Upton Park.
With our Premier League status now restored, Big Sam could pull off a masterstroke if an ambitious plan to bring Joe Cole back to his former stomping ground succeeds.
Cole, who moved from Chelsea to Liverpool but who enjoyed a miserable season at Anfield before joining Lille on a season long loan, is set to head back to an uncertain future at Liverpool and we suspect a move back to West Ham could be a dream move for him.
Looks like Reading are after him as well
Views peeps ?

Re: Silly Season Summer 2012
Can't see it happening on many levels but mainly his best role is Nolan's role. His second most commonly used role is Taylor/Vaz Te. So then it becomes value for money-and he wouldn't come cheap.
Too lightweight for a Sam team, especially one looking to re establish in the top tier.
Not to mention he is somewhat injury prone. To get him we would have to pay the highest wage at the club if we are doing that then we must be sure the out lay is a first name on the team sheet. And he wouldn't be.
Sam and Dave''s ain't silly.

I don't think it would be a good idea.....Our love affair with him ended when he left, and he hasn't been the same player since...

Also the press just link old names. Almost everyone bar Tony Care is no longer there. So there is little
link except he has West Ham on his CV.

Re: Silly Season Summer 2012
Not really going to bring us anything we aint got. Der Tree is as good and has a better trecord at a higher level over time. Holt has had one good season in the prem, wont score any where near that amount of goals next season, and is at least 4 years old than Cole.

He has been doing well in France, according to the Guardian football podcast, and his family has settled well there. If he comes back to the Prem I can’t see him signing for us.
