Watched my son's team play their first 11 a side today against the team
from the same club that is a year older & have been playing 11 a
side for a year. They did quite well but lost 4-1. But they look like
they knew what they are doing & on the back of winning a cup
9-a-side competition a couple of weeks back that included a couple of
strong Djurgården teams it looks like things are moving in the right
direction. The sun made an effort too.

Just made three big jugs of very alcofrolic pimms for the family who are sitting on the decking enjoying the sun while Mrs Motty and do there dinner (well she is as I'm on the puter!

Waiting for the bee man to arrive! Or he may have to be a wasp man!! Son pointed out that a load of wasps or honey bees were going underground in the soil on me flower beds. Means we can't go in the garden until bee/wasp man arrives to sort the problem!

But the more I look at them, the more conviniced I am they look like bees. They're bodies aren't as long and slender as a wasps is, these ones have a shorter body and their wings nearly cover their arses. Anyroadup, bloke phoned to say he'll come along tomorrow morning now coz if it rains overnight (which it looks like it could) then the spray would get washed away. Won't know until tomorrow now what they are. Ho hum.

Don't go anywhere near them Liz, they are nasty bastards, bees or wasps. We get hornets down here and they vicsious mongrels!

I stay well clear of wasps MH coz they are nasty bastards. Bees I'm not too frightened of coz they will only attack if they feel under threat.
Well, pest control bloke's been. They are mining bees, so he's sprayed some powder stuff around the area the bees have been active and that will do the trick unless, of course, they decide to dig somewhere else in the garden!
