WEST HAM are the latest Premier League club to eye Marseille’s tricky France striker Loic Remy.
The Hammers, who play at West Brom today, could lose Andy Carroll – on loan from Liverpool – next month.
Marseille want £9million for Remy, 25, who has also been a target for Liverpool and Tottenham, when Harry Redknapp was in charge there. Since Redknapp took over at Loftus Road, Remy has also been linked with QPR. But there are doubts whether the west London club could afford him after their summer spending spree under previous boss Mark Hughes. That could put West Ham boss Sam Allardyce in pole position to land the classy hitman.
Tottenham, meanwhile, are now monitoring another in-form striker in France – St Etienne’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, 23.
They had him watched in Thursday night’s 0-0 draw in Bordeaux by scouts and see him as a target. He has scored 26 goals in 62 appearances for the club

Wenger will allow Chamakh to join West Ham on loan for the rest of the season and is also keen to shift Andrei Arshavin, Johan Djourou and Sebastien Squillaci in the January transfer window.
Sam Allardyce met with Chamakh's agent Pierre Frelot on Friday night and expects the green light from Arsenal to sign the Morocco international. Allardyce will not have Andy Carroll available until the end of February after the England international suffered a knee injury and has targeted Chamakh to strengthen his attacking options.
Chamakh's departure will be the first in an anticipated purge of Wenger's misfits, with the forward likely to have played his last Arsenal game in the surprise Capital One Cup defeat at Bradford on Tuesday night.
The 28 year-old came on as a substitute and then missed a penalty in the shoot-out, earning further criticism from Arsenal supporters after a miserable last 18 months.
Wenger will also listen to offers for Arshavin, who has not started a Premier League game for the club since January. Djourou and Squillaci will be sold if replacements can be found.

Re: Jan silly season 2013
If Arsenal can persuade West Ham to go for this deal, it will confirm that Arsene Wenger, as Alex Ferguson suggested in the summer, would make an excellent poker player. West Ham are keen to boost their striking options and are thinking about a loan move for the Arsenal outcast Marouane Chamakh. Arsene Wenger has had to accept that Abou Diaby may never be able to play many games for the Gunners and Mohamed Diame is reported to be one of the dynamic midfielders that may be brought to the the Emirates in January.
The 25-year old midfielder has been immense for the Hammers and his box to box style is similar to that of Diaby. He is currently injured, but will be fit again in January, just in time for Arsenal to take advantage of the buy out clause of around £4 million in his contract. The Senegalese international is not the big name that some Arsenal fans are craving, but he has proved himself in the Premier league.
Wenger has seen enough of Chamakh who was woeful again in the cup defeat by Bradford City. He started well at Arsenal, however, and Sam Allardyce likes his kind of player (tall and rubbish). Wenger will try to make Chamakh’s move to West Ham a permanent one and he could make it a straight swap. Just don’t start laughing openly at the Hammers until the deal is done.

Re: Jan silly season 2013
shocking player from what ive seen so far of his time over here, if he stopped dicking about with making his hair look like a mess and concentrated on playing football he might get somewhere.
Kin hate the transfer window.
