Re: West ham United FC V Man City
Following the thrashing of the Spurts at Shite House Lane, I'm back to the traditional Hammers supporter's position of not knowing what the fupp to expect from the team! Common sense tells me to expect very little from this game, but... hell, we COULD turn the bastards over, and they are going to be more than a little concerned about visiting UP right now. Fingers crossed, toes crossed, hammers crossed!

Re: West ham United FC V Man City
Can`t see us getting any think from this Game as City are a lot stronger then Spurs in every department !
If I was Sam I would start with the same team and tactics as against Spurs but maybe change it at HT to give City something else to think about in the 2nd half !
I 'am going to say 3-1 City even tho it hurts to say that

i think we'll win 2-1 city are not very good away from home so far this season and are very prone to a poo performance

Re: West ham United FC V Man City
James Collins out with a hamstring and BFS was waiting to hear if Winston Reid made it through the NZ game unscathed. Our superb defensive record this season has been based on 2 of 3 out of Collins/Reid/Tomkins. If two of them were not to make it then it would mean George McCartney at CB against Negredo, Aguero, Dzeko !

Re: West ham United FC V Man City
I know it would be a massive risk but should Reid and Collins both be unavailable for today`s game then I think Big Sam should give young Leo Chambers a chance to show what he can do against the best players in the league ... I mean HE Cant do any worst then McCartney at CB !
Really cant see Big Sam keeping with 4-6-0 as I'm sure that City will have worked on how to stop us in that formation etc so maybe we will see the return of the dreaded Maiga on his own upfront !?!?

Re: West ham United FC V Man City
Their away record not good, but seeing as we're not playing Cardiff this week, our home form is poor also.
If Winston is out, our best form of defence will be to attack of course. So I'd like to think that we'd mix it up a bit with short balls to Ravel so he can run rings round their defence and to confuse them, an occasional hoof up to Carlton so he can errrm, do what he does.

Think Carlton is starting on the bench as is he short of match fitness so it will be Maiga starting upfront if Big Sam decides to start with a striker upfrontJiggs wrote:Their away record not good, but seeing as we're not playing Cardiff this week, our home form is poor also.

I would have thought that if BFS is re-introducing a striker up top it will be Petric rather than Maiga TBH. CC will probably only make the benchArran H wrote:Think Carlton is starting on the bench as is he short of match fitness so it will be Maiga starting upfront if Big Sam decides to start with a striker upfrontJiggs wrote:Their away record not good, but seeing as we're not playing Cardiff this week, our home form is poor also.
