It would be a bit of luck if Bony is in Manchester having a medical this weekend

Re: Swansea v West Ham United FC
Bony is out of the country on African Cup of NoOneCares duty... smart money suggests he's kicked his last ball for the Swans and will return as a very expensive Man City player...
Shelvey is also suspended and so it looks like they'll be giving a go to a couple of youngsters at least... which might work in our favor or might bite us in the arse...
We'll have song to come in and show Nolan how you're supposed to play football... Sikh will be out with his back injury while we get debarred by the Senegalese FA for not letting him travel...
Carroll has done exceptionally well against the Swans in recent outings, so expect him to start if he's shrugged off whatever foot injury it was that kept him out of the Everton debacle...
We need to kick start 2015... no wins in 4 (or 5 if you count the FA Cup) will be a fupp up of epic proportions (and yes, I do realize how silly that sounds given where we've been in recent seasons... but we're here now)
3 points please - I hate getting up at 6:45 on a saturday morning to watch us not win.

Re: Swansea v West Ham United FC
is this the beginning of another round of Carroll being absent for whoknowshowlong?
so who goes up front?
please god it's not Cole...
but if it's Valencia then we have to adjust the play to match his style and position...

Re: Swansea v West Ham United FC
apparently no Bony,Yeung, Shelvy or Montero. certainly think there is a point to be won today at least.
Lets hope Carroll's injury is just short term this time!

Re: Swansea v West Ham United FC
I don't know why I`m going to say this as unless he is injured he will be playing regardless but Nolan needs to be drop from the team as he does nothing in a game other then lose the ball !
With Bony,Montero,Shelvey and Ki Sung-Yeung all out for todays game we have a really good chance of getting our first double of the season and another 3 points to get us closer to that 40pt mark and I think if results go our way we can move back into the Top 5 again !
I would go with : Adrian,Jenkinson,Tomkins,Reid,Cresswell,Amalfitano,Noble,Song,Downing,Valencia,Carroll
SUBS:Jussi,Collins,O`Brien,Poyet,Nolan,RVT,Cole

Re: Swansea v West Ham United FC
What the fupp is Sam thinking with today`s line up !?!
We have fupping Amalfitano and Poyet on the bench to replace Song yet he starts with Tomkins in Midfield - I`m sorry but that is a fupping joke - Its bad enough having Nolan in Midfield but to have a CB alongside him makes it even worse !!
I really do wonder what goes through Sam`s head sometimes

West Ham United: Adrian, Reid, Cresswell, Nolan (c), Tomkins, Carroll, Downing, Noble, Jenkinson, Collins, Valencia
Subs: Jaaskelainen, Jarvis, Vaz Te, O'Brien, Amalfitano, Poyet, Cole
3 centre backs? The slowest midfield I can think of. Heard Song was ill. There is no other excuse for leaving him out and starting Nolan ahead of him. Amalfitano gives us more than Nolan

Re: Swansea v West Ham United FC
I just don't believe that line up.
Lost for words. How Amalfitano can be on the bench with Nolan ahead of him?
Playing 5 at the back?
Valencia up front after the terrible game he had at Everton?
Can see our midfield being overrun.
Still we can rely on SAM to take us to midtable.

Re: Swansea v West Ham United FC
tight first half... plenty of dodgy defending from us.
Carroll collecting and/or fighting for the ball back on the halfway line and no one in the op penalty box to receive it...
typical sort of thing as we've seen...
Swans looking well up for it and attacking well, getting the majority of possession but only 52/48 percentage wise...
only a couple of Swansea corners at the end of the first half... so in other words... very competitive and us looking not like the flowing powerhouse we have done... but then with no Sakho or Song... waddaya expect..?
what probably no one expected (apart from looking at his sterling record against swansea) as Carroll's swiftness and deftness of foot in side the swansea penalty area with a minute or two to go in the half to switch feet and curl a sublime shot into the top corner of the net...
One shot, one on target, one goal...
2nd half here we go.

Re: Swansea v West Ham United FC
well we're doing everything humanly possible to allow Swansea back into the game
apart from a couple of solo Valencia runs, it's been non-stop Welsh pressure...
So, take Valencia off... of course.
Amalfitano is on.
But so are Nolan and Noble... so that's all right then...

Re: Swansea v West Ham United FC
and there you have it...
relentless pressure... just sitting back and allowing them to...
oh look... swansea have scored...
Nolan fluffs the challenge and Noble standing on the line just falls over as it goes in off his arm
You couldn't really make this up...

Re: Swansea v West Ham United FC
Good game and a good point in the end. Swansea have a great home record. Shit rule that Collins has to stay off the pitch - and they score from the resulting corner. Having said that Gomis still should have been marked and Noble should have done better on the line
Valencia looking poorer each game
Three centre halves were excellent
My MoM: Carl Jenkinson
