DG promises at least 5 new signings this summer

West Ham co-owner David Gold says he expects the club to sign at least five new players during the summer.

Despite the uncertainty surrounding the future of Sam Allardyce, the east London club are still working hard on transfer targets.

After bringing in nine new signings last summer which included Aaron Cresswell, Diafra Sakho and Enner Valencia, the West Ham hierarchy are determined to strengthen the squad even further.

With the club making a historic move into the Olympic Stadium next year, they are determined to have another successful season in the Premier League and a possible route into the Europa League.

Gold, speaking on his Twitter site, said: "I'm optimistic for next season. Andy Carroll, Diafra Sakho and James Tomkins back plus at least five new faces."

Don't get too excited Alfie. It is likely that 5 or 6 will go out, thereby not increasing our squad size at all !

Cole, Demel, Jussi, Jarvis, Zarate, Nene all likely to leave. Nolan possibly leaving too

Will be such a shame to see Nene go without seeing the best of him in the claret and blue.

We won't get a penny for Cole, Demel or Jussi as they are all out of contract. Zarate and Nene are on loan. Therefore only Jarvis and Nolan are theoretically sale-able assets. Jarvis will probably get another Premier League club; possibly a newly promoted one. Nolan will not want to stay but is on £60,000 per weeks so will be hard to shift

I thought Zarate was one of our players and put out on loan? Never thought he was given much of a chance under BFS, another manager may get more out of him alongside Sakho/Carroll?

Zarate is one of our strikers , So hopefully the next manager will give him more of a chance to prove himself in his favoured position
Jarvis To be honest I would like us to keep again for the same reason`s above with Zarate
Demel I would like us to keep if we cant get Jenkinson on loan again or on a Permanent deal
Cole and Nolan I would be happy to see both go as soon as possible


I just hope the next manager priorities getting a couple of decent strikers in , A new Right back and a decent Keeper to challenge Adrian

Maybe not.  

Remember 'arry tried to swap him for Matt Jarvis after having him at QPR only a couple of weeks, but it was against Premier League rules.   

Then he had a hissy fit after being left out of the team against Liverpool, and stropped off home alone.  Got a fine and a ban for that.  

Bit of a Billy big bollix methinks.

Hopefully this year his balls have dropped and he's getting a bit.
