Venue: Liberty Stadium Date: Sunday, 20th December 4.00pm

    TEAM NEWS

Alan Curtis has no reported new injury problems in what is expected to be his last game as Swansea's

    caretaker boss.

Jonjo Shelvey could play after a calf injury but striker Eder and defender Franck Tabanou remain absent with ankle and thigh injuries respectively.
West Ham striker Andy Carroll is doubtful with a groin problem.
Manuel Lanzini remains out with a thigh injury that has sidelined him since the end of November, but the midfielder should be fit for the Boxing Day game.

    WHAT THE MANAGERS SAY

Swansea caretaker manager Alan Curtis on rumoured Swansea managerial target Marcelo Bielsa: "Obviously I know his reputation but I don't know a great deal about him, so I have been Googling him.
"When a new manager comes in, you're never quite sure how he's going to react or how he deals with players, training and the staff.
"But Bielsa's reputation as a coach is fantastic, and if Pep Guardiola rates him as the best coach ever then he's obviously somebody you're bound to learn from."

West Ham manager Slaven Bilic: "The keys to beating Swansea? I watched their last five games and they didn't play the best. Sometimes they showed good quality going forward but they were open at the back. Sometimes they were unlucky, as they definitely were at Manchester City last weekend.
"We must be as compact as them, and then we have the quality to beat them. We have to show more quality in the final third."

    Head-to-head

    • West Ham's last two league games have been goalless draws.
    • The Hammers have won more points away from home this season than they have at Upton Park (14 compared to 10).

Zarate our best player, but it took us 28 mins to get onto their half of the pitch. Swansea much better than us, we will be lucky to get a draw.

Despite all their possession Swansea had less real attempts on goal than us. Jelavic looks very poor,  antonio has done more defending than attacking,  Zarate is our only inventive player but is trying to do to much on his own.

Another 0-0, hopefully the positives are no more injuries? Valencia back and no goals conceded.

Velajivic is not the answer to any of our problems up front and we didnt look to have much invention,  we really need to do something next week agaistVilla!!!!

A horrible point but we'll take that away from home with our injury list.

I thought we were solid defensively but all of our back line including Adrian looked to smash it long too often for me.
I don't think I saw one defender play a ball back to Adrian and then create an angle for him to give them the ball back rather than just smashing it back to a Swansea defenders.

We definitely need a right back in January. We have one who attacks but can't defend and another who can defend but his distribution is woeful, I was actually wondering whether Tomkins knew what colour we were playing in today.

Could only get a radio comm but it sounded so shite I was glad I couldn't see it. We gave away possession so often it was embarrassing, even a depleted makeshift side should be capable of stringing three passes together. That point was an early Christmas present and we really didn't deserve it.
And now here we are, wondering just how we can manage to beat the worst team in the PL? The honeymoon is well and truly over, Mr Bilic, back to reality.

It's that hectic time of year for women, but I took time out to sit and watch the match.  Not surprisingly, I dozed off after 15 minutes or so, sleep  and woke with 20 left to play.  I saw Jellyfish muck up twice in front of goal in that time and presume from comments on here and Facebook that he was nigh on useless. Thankfully our defence did the business and kept things at stalemate, with a clean sheet, plus one point.

I do still remember when we would have keeled over and lost those sort of matches, so again under the circumstances, not that bad a result.  I've said that for the last two fixtures, but I will not accept it on Boxing day away to Villa ....... I will not I tell ya!

All I want for Christmas is some returns from injury and three points.  COYI!

So our last 4 results have been 1-1.0-0,0-0 and 0-0 AND Tbh I`m happy with those because how I see it is we are without our best players so in my eyes theses 4 important points imo and some of the games we should won so I`m not concern at all Tbh plus with Lanzini back soon and also Payet back earlier then expected things will soon get back to how they were imo

Only ray of sunshine was the point we got.
Most disappointed game I've seen this season.
Defence mostly OK, midfield terrible and nothing up front.

Never watched the Watford game Tony but my boys went and said how bad it was.
What is quite worrying is how bad we were in midfield. Does Bilic watch the same games we do?
