so it's sounding like a deal has been struck... some places say it's 5m a year plus bonuses, so all the press runs with the story that's 10m a year (I guess that means we're guaranteed to win something as he'll get all his bonuses)

you just can't make this stuff up at West Ham...
If it's true, Pellegrino is not only a fizzy water but also a manager with a proven track record or success at the highest level in various countries and leagues...
My only slight concern is that he's 65 when he joins us... I know as an old dude that age shouldn't be held against you and football is an increasingly fickle world these days... so the thought of any manager lasting more than 2, 3 or god forbid 5 years seems like a rose colored version of history...
But with a good track record behind him, if he can fix things on the park at West Ham, I'd like someone who could stay for 5, 7, 10 years... we used to be a club that kept managers for a long time, we were the aberration not part of the fickleness that infects the game.
Anyway, I'd have been happy with Rosy the Tea Lady rather than Moyes... so bringing in a manager with a proven track record makes me happy.
Let's see what he can do in the off season to bolster the squad and let's all get excited for the new season...
