West Ham striker Carlton Cole claims the side are looking to go on an unbeaten run and finish in the top ten this season.
In what would have been a laughable statement just weeks ago, Cole now believes the Hammers are on course to end the season in the top ten after picking up back to back victories over Liverpool and Stoke.

The Hammers have struggled against the drop for the majority of the campaign but, after strengthening the squad in January and seeing injured players return to the side, they have given themselves a great opportunity to escape the drop.

Cole told Talksport: "Some of the performances this season have been unacceptable but the players have got together, shown great team commitment and we're brushing it under the carpet.

"It's now time to work hard, look to the positives and get ourselves out of the mess that we're in.

"We're still on the road to where we want to be, that was the top half of the table and hopefully we can still get there because it's a funny old Premier League season.

"We can really push on with the form we're in at the moment."

Slow down Carlto we have the tuffest run in of the bottom gang , two great wins but the fat lady ain't singing yet .

Fat lady aint even in the building yet. Way over the top comments from Cole! We have a really tough run in, although I expect us to get points against Villa, Blackburn, Wigan and maybe a couple of others. We will do well to stay on level terms with spuds and manpoo, although both have fupped up this weekend, (which does not bode well for us!)

One game at a time, beat the cloggers at the Britannia next week and we are are looking strong for at least a point against spuds, but we have screwed up so many times in the past after looking like we are finally looking half decent.

Keep Scottie, Der Hammer, Ba and Cole fit and we have a good chance of staying up, top half? your're half a giraffe! cheesey grin 17th will do for me

Cole is on a high after the two wins, and his own performance no doubt.....Just positive thinking I suspect - can we knock that?
