Re: Where will we we finish
Unfortunately this is West Ham, and it is not all BvG fault, or Zola's fault. The problems are always far more than that. I am confident we will get promoted but that will be when the real test starts-back in the Prem and stop the 35 yo-yo. It is a big ask of any manager/board/staff.
We just gotta accept that this is West Ham! And we are pretty much in the same boat as 3/4 of the Premiership teams and 25% of the Coco-Pops teams. The fans hopes outweigh the possibilities. To say we could be a top 6 club consistently is a misnomer, we never have been in 100 years so I doubt we ever will be really. The reality check is always when relegation comes and I think it is normally our happier seasons in the lower division-we win more, it is therefore more entertaining and a happier experience all in all. I reckon we'll walk it and enjoy it along the way but time has taught me not to get carried away with the future. Seize the day and all that.

Re: Where will we we finish
I think Liecester are trying to buy every player in the chumps league so they win it cos no one has any players out against them!
In truth I think JDLK has it right, but I think so far BFS has made a couple of outstanding captures in Nolan and Taylor and it looks (fingers, knees and toes crossed) that Parker and Green are staying. Providing we can get in a decent goalscorer to assist the tree and piqquinooe I think we will be pushing for the championship if not running away with it.
Although a day at wembley is fun would rather not go through that pleasssse!

Re: Where will we we finish
Im not getting carried away like quite a lot of our fans I think we will be somewhere in the top 6.
I think it may take us 10 games or so to get going.
Everyone is raving about how much Leicester have spent and the players they have bought in but they all seem to be forgetting that just because they have spent a lot of money on about 9 players there is no guarantee those players will gel straight away.

Re: Where will we we finish
Bruno from Jimmy Whites blog on yahoo sport, his take on who will finish where in the chumps league:-
Champions: Nottingham Forest. A good manager, stable boardroom, decent support, a proper football club. Plus, in Andy Reid, Jonathan Greening and George Boeteng, they have something solid to show for the summer transfer round.
Runners up: West Ham. The cream will rise, and the Hammers, whatever the crassness of their ownership, should never have been in the division in the first place. Plus, however cack handed his bosses may be, Sam Allardyce is too organised, too clever, too together to miss out. It may not be pretty, but it will be efficient.
Play-offs: Burnley (the best young manager in the division, plus sufficient funds left from the parachute payments to have bought well); Brighton (the momentum of promotion, a new ground and a brilliant manager will take them ever upward); Ipswich (interesting buys over the summer; if Lee Bowyer, Michael Chopra and Jay Emmanuel-Thomas mesh as they should, they could have a formidable side); Leeds (despite the comical ownership, too big, too well supported, too proper to fail).
Can't agree with him about us not being in this division, we were the worst of some pretty poor teams last season, however even with my claret n blue tinted specs on, I can see us being top or second at the end of the season..................Just need another goalscorer like erm....Geoff Hurst, Pop Robson, Super Mc, Tony Cottee or Super Johnnie Hartson
