Re: Linda's back
I liked him the first time he was here, hope he has his head right and is fit, he will be a better bet at LB than Illunga at this level. some talk that he kept getting fined at lids for being late for training, can't see BFS standing for that.

Re: Linda's back
Just to play Devil's advocate here. Bruce did not want him last season and loaned him out to Leeds. He was fined for being late for training a couple of times. Plus Ken Bates questioned his attitude and committment while he was there. Now Sunderland don't want him back
It doesn't make great reading does it?

Thats my point as well Tone, good player in 2008 when he left us, but now the Mackams and Lids don't want him, hope BFS knows what he is doing. I would hope we keep Illunga as we still need two players in each berth and if Linda fupps up for some reason we need backup.

Re: Linda's back
At least the next opponent is Doncaster, we should be able to beat them without a new striker, but goddamn just sign a couple of strikers please!

There is no doubt he has the ability Su. Just hoping his attitude matches that ability
I will have to start practising my "keeper's on" shout at him every time he has the ball in our half!!

Re: Linda's back
We weren't happy when he was sold, were we? Curbs resigned partly because he was sold against his wishes.
Ken Bates and the truth have always had a fairly...... loose connection.
As always we shall give him the benefit of the doubt. I am glad to see him back. He is on a free, so... not much to lose eh?

Jo, that was 3 years ago. Since then he has had a serious knee injury. He was fined on a couple of occasions for being late for training at Leeds - which suggests a poor attitude to me. He is on Premiership wages - as is Ilunga - so we have two very highly paid left backs at the club
I just hope that we get a return on our investment
