I popped over to the Forest Chat but they was not very talkative , cant understand why Laughing . However I did get one response to the few questions I asked

    From Mr Smith

I thought seeing as you will be coming to Upton Park next week I would pop in and get your views on the game . I,m just looking for some feedback on how you think the game will go You will destory us who we need to look out for you will have to look out carefully for the entire Forest team for a while it might seem like West Ham aren't playing anybody, but there should be eleven Forest players on the pitch and who you think is our most troublesome player I have no idea who plays for West Ham anymore, needless to say all your players will trouble us, do you think you will stay up this season we're trying very hard to get relegated and have appointed a manager who can deliver relegation and what you think of our chances are of returning to the premiership straight away over the entire season, your promotion is a mere formality . I will post your views on our forum [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] and will pop back on after the game to have a bit of friendly banter . I hope you do stay up , best of luck and will be looking forward to game .

    Not a very happy chappy

West Ham could include defender George John following his arrival on loan from FC Dallas.

Sam Baldock is pushing to partner Carlton Cole in attack, but midfielder Matt Taylor (calf) and defender Guy Demel (thigh) are both still out.

Nottingham Forest manager Steve Cotterill has no new injury or suspension worries.

Defender Wes Morgan (ankle), midfielder Chris Cohen (knee) and striker Ishmael Miller (foot) are still missing.

    MATCH FACTS
    Head-to-head

    • These clubs have been facing each other for a hundred years and there is only two wins between them; West Ham have won 45 and Nottingham Forest 43 of 114 competitive matches.

    • West Ham won the reverse fixture 4-1 in August, and are looking to do the double over Forest for the first time since the 1968/69 top-flight season.

    • Forest have won only one of their last nine league trips to Upton Park since 1987; 1-0 on New Years' Day 1997, in the Premier League.

    West Ham United

    • West Ham are vying to become the first club to reach 16 Championship wins, which would put them top of the table for the first time this season.

    • They are one of three clubs with a 100% record in this division in 2012.

    • The Hammers are boasting the meanest defence in the second tier (23 goals conceded) and an unrivalled 32 points have been picked up from the 12 games in which clean sheets were kept.

    Nottingham Forest

    • Third-bottom Forest, two points from safety, have lost an unequalled 16 Championship matches; 11 against current top-half clubs.

    • The 3-1 win at Ipswich on 2 January is their only victory and only goals in 11 in all competitions.

    • They have picked up 16 points out of a possible 48 under Steve Cotterill.

I might regret saying this, but what the hell, it’s never stopped me before. I think we’ll win this game and by a tidy margin.

West Ham manager Sam Allardyce is hoping his side can take advantage of this weekend's match scheduling to gain a psychological edge in the npower Championship title race.

The Hammers can go three points above current leaders Southampton if they beat struggling Nottingham Forest at Upton Park, with the Saints not in action until Monday night when they host Leicester.

A win for the Londoners will put the pressure on Nigel Adkins' men, and Allardyce admits there will be plenty at stake against Forest.

'The extra spur this week is that if we win we can go top for the first time this season, be it may be only a short stay as Southampton play on Monday,' Allardyce told the official club website.

'Let's make sure we achieve that goal and let's get those very valuable three points again here at Upton Park.'

Allardyce, who has a virtually fully-fit squad again after Matt Taylor and Guy Demel returned to training, will not underestimate Forest but admits they are a team low on confidence and struggling to score.

'I have been complaining about our lack of goals but their lack of goals is far greater than ours at the moment,' he added.

'I saw them on Tuesday night in the (FA) Cup (against Leicester) and at half-time it should have been 2-2 - they had two of the best chances of the game and didn't convert them (and ultimately lost 4-0).

'They might have a little bit of a lack of confidence and we have to try to take advantage.'

Some more views from the Forest Chat

    Mr Smith
Southampton were on a bad run of form and beat us 3-0.
Leicester are abject gash and beat us 4-0.
Looking at the pattern of these results, West Ham will win 5-0.

    Redman
    Will be a massacre

    5-0

    waghornliam
Big SAMs teams love A set piece, recipe for a trouncing this one. Don't think we will score either... Gonna go for another 4-0

    legs_akimbo

fcuk it show some ambition I go for a real trouncing 6_0

    godders

For some reason I've got a good feeling about this one. Call me a blind optimist but I reckon we'll score a goal.

    5-1

    Leather

Exactly, any team that fancies themselves as quality should be looking to put 6 past us. Any less than that and I'd say they're mediocre.

Gotta feel sorry for them cheesey grin

Marlon never could find the goal when he played for us at Upton Park. I will be shocked if he dont this time.
