Re: Silly Season Summer 2012
We should buy Caroll, even if he looks a bit expensive. He is a quality striker, better than anything else we have. He will suit the BFS style of football, it’s a no brainer for me.

Re: Silly Season Summer 2012
I would say we have more chance of getting berbatov then we do getting Carroll tbh , I would much rather BFS tryed get Berbatov on lone for the season then getting Carroll as at least in berbatov you know you will get at least 15 goals a season out of him maybe more and the fact he wants more football means we could get him

100% Agree with both points there. It's a real shame about berbatov though, always liked watchin him play and he can score. I herd Man U have offered him a 1 year extension to his contract so they can get a fee for him & would want 5million and no loan.
I say go for him and his wages will be paid back by staying in the prem .Not only that he far better than Carroll. Pls if there's a god then make this happen .

Lets just get it done, I would be happy with either, but would prefer Berba.

Re: Silly Season Summer 2012
West Ham are weighing up a move for out-of-favour Hamburg winger Gökhan Töre.
Töre has been told he is free to quit the Bundesliga outfit this summer, despite a number of impressive displays, after falling out with new manager Thorsten Fink.
The quicksilver winger, who moved to Hamburg from Chelsea just 12 months ago, turned out 22 times in the league last term, but he has been omitted from Fink's first-team plans ahead of the new season.
Russian outfit Spartak Moscow have been strongly linked with a move, but it appears the 20-year-old is keen to return to the Premier League, where his agent has offered his services to newly-promoted West Ham.
Töre would bring an injection of pace, power and genuine width to the Hammers line-up, and while boss Sam Allardyce is keen, he has requested a trial run out first, something Hamburg have rejected.
The news of Töre's switch away will be good news for Chelsea, who will earn 50% of the fee Hamburg receive, after including a hefty sell-on clause in the deal to sell him to Germany.

Re: Silly Season Summer 2012
I wonder why the Barcodes didn't sign him when they were so keen last season? Apparently L'Equipe said he failed the medical - I hope not. And Wikipedia tells me he's had malaria since then......
Anyway, he's ours now so let's hope he's one of BFS's wonder signings - if he can score 15 goals again this season I don't care if he's got leprosy and a wooden leg.

Re: Silly Season Summer 2012
Another decent signing by BFS It feels strange going into the transfer markets knowing we have a manager who will only buy decent players for once
I read in the papers we are linked with James Collins , Fingers crossed BFS brings Collins back to Upton Park as he would boost our defence big time - I never wanted him to leave in the first place tbh
I think we are going to have a very good season this year under BFS

One of the big names in Ligue 1 according to Wikipedia. Good finally we get a striker. Let's hope we can keep Vaz Te and get him enthusiastic about playing for us.

Two of our earlier 'targets' have signed for other clubs - Burak Yilmaz has joined Galatasaray for £3.9m, turning down Lokomotiv Moscow, while Eljero Elia has signed for Werder Bremen for £4.3m.
