“I've signed it. I've felt he should have been knighted while he was still alive.”

“Im certainly all for that. A great player, great captain, great man.
I shudder to think at some of the dross that has had the "honour" of the England captaincy since him.”

“I'm not sure about this, but in a spirit of friendship, I've signed it.”

“Happy to do so Diabo.
When you think of all the scoundrels of politics, banking and buisness that get a gong every year, it makes you angry that one of this nations most famous and formidable sportsmen remains without.”
“Signed in on Facebook and signed it.”

“Bobby Moore, a great player and a great captain for both club and country. And by all accounts of those that met him he was also a great bloke.
R.I.P 'Sir' Bobby.”
“I think you will find that the "knighthood" is for his services to football and without doubt he was a fine player and England captain. As for the thief bit, that was never proven, he always denied it and you know what the saying is, innocent until proved guilty.
I met him at a new years eve do and he was a very pleasant person, this was before he was famous.”
“dont think Bobby Moore will get any award posthumously , but saying that how many footballers have a statue at Wembley . the man was a legend . “
“Still the only english captain to lift the world cup. Worth much more than any knighthood!!”

“Just signed it.
Good luck to "The General"

“He still should be the highest capped outfield player. I doubt he came on for just five minutes per game like Beckham did towards the end of his International career.
I'll sign it. Bobby Moore is not only a West Ham legend, but an England legend and a footballing legend.”
“Fantastic”
“Although it cannot be argued that Moore does not deserve a knighthood, I don't think it is possible to posthumously knight someone, unfortunately.
But I'll still sign.... “

“I signed it, I don't like West Ham much, their endless 'we won the World Cup in 1966' statement is f*cking embarrassing and an insult to the rest of the players that year who helped the national team to a success, but recognize Moore as a player of great stature and an icon in British soccer. Sadly no longer with us, but the man was a giant on the field of play, and while being held in Colombia in 1970 on suspicion of taking some jewelry, kept professional about the whole incident and never faltered and came out of it with his head held high and still put on another superlative display in mexico for the world cup a few weeks after. True professional if even there was one.”

“I've signed it, because he was a great ambassador for the game.”
“Without wishing to rain on anyone's parade, it's just an online petition, which usually amounts to nothing. Easily signed, and much more easily discarded, if it ever gets to anyone of authority.
But out of respect for Mr daib0, I've happily signed it, hope it helps.”

“I would agree - he was a gentleman and a model pro. This should have been done at the same time Sir Alf got his, or at the very least around the time he hung up his boots.”

“I'll pass that around.
I still remember him being guest of honour for our 1992 Autoglass trophy final game against Stockport at Wembley. People commented back then he looked well considering he'd been diagnosed as ill the previous year. Sadly it beat him twelve months later.”

“But it's West Ham! Don't get me wrong full of respect for Bobby Moore but I hate West Ham nearly as much as the budgies.”
Also been a fair bit of good publicity for your forum!!
