There is currently a national Stand Up To Cancer campaign including several celebrity encrusted TV programmes. If you were considering making a charitable donation can I ask that you consider giving to these:

[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

My friend’s 21 year old daughter died of ovarian cancer just under two weeks ago, her funeral is tomorrow. Before she died she gave her parents instructions about her funeral, who she would like to attend, that we are not to wear black and money that would have been spent on flowers should go to these charities. She has even wrote a letter to be read out tomorrow.

She was a beautiful, funny and immensely courageous girl.

Ovarian cancer is the biggest gynaecological killer in the UK claiming the life of 1 woman every 2 hours and Saint Francis Hospice is there because sometimes standing up to cancer just doesn’t w**k.

That's so sad Suzanne, your friends daughter was a very courageous young woman.

The NHS don't consider screening the ovaries necessary. My Mum is taking part in clinical trials at the moment to prove them wrong.

    RIP

That's really sad SC. 21 is no age Sad

I'm going to do the Moonwalk next May in memory of my mum. We walk overnight on 11th May, finishing on the morning of 12th May, one year to the day that she died. I'll set up a sponsorship page nearer the time and hope I can count on some of you to support me.
