Aint it about time Big Sam got his name sung or is it being done H/A ?
I for one would join in considering where we are in the league , with some of the buys he,s made and some of the good football we are playing or does this singing have to wait until the end of the season ?

    Yes, the time is right.

But as I said on Facebook, Allerdyce's claret and blue army fits so much better, without being rude to Sam tramp

I assumed 'We play on the floor' was being sung ironically. Like when we were winning at Barcodeland. A bit of a dig at the press & whoever keeps on about long ball. I still like the 'handball' chants when they go up - always make me smile!

I thought I heard his name being sung at Newcastle. Alfie was there. Maybe he can confirm or deny that

Didnt he say a while ago he will talk about new contract when we are safe? Wants to concentrate on that first.

I *think* at newcastle it was still "we are west hams claret and blue army" i'm not the most reliable for this though.

I know there was a thread debating Sam gettin a newcastle, I think Tony started it, but after going back through about 5 pages I gave up looking when I found this one.

O dear let me think...they made a point of Sams contract being up at the end of the season. There was a joke by the interviewer that Sam could spend to years getting promotion and stabilizing things before a big name was 'bought in'. Someone must have asked Gold if sam would have a big job now if not for his unfashionable reputation/ reputation for long ball to which Gold replied. "he's in a big now job". Sam listed the managers that were better then him..."fergie, Arsene...(pause)...maybe Rafa....maybe". I'm sure there was more but memory fails me.
