Gentlemen!
If, like me, you are unfortunate enough to need a surgical repair for an inguinial hernia ( that's the common-or-garden one in the groin) then don't be too concerned, it's a straightforward but somewhat uncomfortable procedure. What the doctors and nurses will NOT tell you, however, is that a couple of days after surgery as the bruising comes out, your todger may overnight turn bright purple (with fetching yellow highlights).
Just thought I might spare others the consternation of discovering this without adequate fore-warning
