Not what we expected when BFS arrived. Playing pleasant stuff, will it serve us well? :?:

Re: style of footy so far
I think it will serve us well this year if only we had a decent strikers that could put away the chances we create

Couldnt care less about the style at this stage, what I want is effective winning football, they can w**k on the pretty stuff later.

Re: style of footy so far
Exactly. Style means nothing if not getting the results. 2 wins, one draw and two losses so far. Get the results right and then style is an affordable luxury.
BTW we are not seeing "Sam's style" of football for two reasons. We don't have the personnel to play it up front and secondly our midfield is full of good performers so that is our strongest area to play through. Sam doesn't employ doom tactics if they don't w**k.

I think we play in the style of Charlie Chaplin at the moment.

I expected - well, feared, actually - a number of things from BFS's leadership. One thing I certainly did not anticipate was repeatedly chucking games away by shipping goals in the dying minutes. Get a grip, Mr. Allardyce, FFS!

I think jiggs has hit the nail firmly and squarly on the head. From what i have seen so far this season it is something more a kin to a comedy road show. Perhaps sam is trying to laugh the oppsoition into defeat.
I am with the others style of play can wait we need to start getting results first i am afraid.

Re: style of footy so far
Lets not get our knickers in a knot just yet, all that is required is a little tweaking. Illunga to be replaced by Linda should do for starters with Noble being dropped to the bench and replaced in the centre by Collnson who in turn can be replaced by Berrara.

Re: style of footy so far
Barrera has gone on loan to Real Zaragoza for the season Su but I echo the sentiment
It is not (soley) Sam's fault that the players are acting unprofessionally in not seeing out games. What would be his fault is if he does not address it quickly by telling them in no uncertain terms what will happen to them if they do it again
Don't panic !
