West Ham United are delighted to announce the signing of coveted striker Sam Baldock.
The in-form 22-year-old has moved to the Boleyn Ground from League One leaders MK Dons on a four-year contract with an option for an additional year. The Hammers beat several clubs to the signing, paying an undisclosed fee for the forward after his spectacular start to the 2011/12 season.
Baldock, who passed a medical on Friday afternoon before putting pen to paper in the evening, has netted six goals in six appearances, including a hat-trick in a 6-2 victory over Chesterfield and the second in a 4-0 Carling Cup second-round victory over Premier League Norwich City in midweek.
He will wear the No7 shirt for the Hammers and is set to make his debut at home to Portsmouth on Saturday 10 September.
