Re: Westfield Stratford City
Actually, this is a good bit of planning for once. You know some women's clothes shops have a corner with some chairs and magazines, maybe a TV, where the blokes can park themselves? Well now we'll have a new stadium with a shopping mall outside, where the ladies can mooch while the game's on. Perfick!!

I went there today. It was mobbed. Not many faces without scarves on! It was a struggle to remind myself that I was in the capital of England
The West Ham shop is in the outside bit......and is no "superstore". It is not that big. Saw BFS behind the counter signing stuff. He had a big smile on his face and looked genuinely happy to be there. Not sure why but there was an Asian guy queuing outside to get in...........wearing a Spuds home shirt. I asked him if he was "confused" !!
I saw David Gold in Ann Summers. His daughters run the company now. Before you ask we were handing out leaflets in the stores !
The layout of the inside mall is like a horseshoe. In other words it does not go around in a full circle like Bluewater. There are not enough escalators either. Queues for them all the time. Needless to say our scarved friends do not bother queuing...........they just barge in I had a word a couple of times. Rude not too
Let me know what you think Su

Re: Westfield Stratford City
For the life of me, I can't see why anyone would CHOOSE to go to Europe's biggest shopping centre (actually make that any shopping centre) unless they had a gun to their head.
I'd rather stay at home and stick lighted matches in my eyes and then eat a plate of liver
