    Npower Championship

    Venue: Ashton GateDate:
    Date: Tuesday, 17 April
    Kick-off: 1945 BST

Bristol City will be without suspended striker Brett Pitman and James Wilson (ankle) is out for the season.

Kalifa Cisse and Lewin Nyatanga are both doubtful with ankle problems and Marvin Elliott and David Clarkson are both injured.

West Ham manager Sam Allardyce is unlikely to make changes following the 6-0 win over Brighton at the weekend.

On-loan defender George McCartney will be assessed following concussion and Joey O'Brien (thigh) is doubtful.

    MATCH FACTS
    Head-to-head

    • This is the 30th competitive match between these clubs. West Ham have won 16, and Bristol City only four.

    • Of those, the Hammers have only beaten Bristol City twice away from home in the league.

    • The most recent was 5-1 in their last visit to Ashton Gate in September 1992.

    Bristol City

    • Bristol City, hoping to secure a sixth straight season in the Championship, are one place and four points above the relegation zone.

    • The Robins have won two and drawn three of their last five, and Derek McInnes will be hoping to inspire his side to a second six-game unbeaten sequence since his arrival in October.

    • Their only victories against top-eight clubs were home and away to Southampton.

    West Ham United

    • West Ham are in third place, three points behind Southampton, with Leicester to visit and Hull to host after this. They are chasing a 600th victory in second-level league football.

    • The Hammers have not made an immediate return to the top flight since 1993, but showed their intent with a 6-0 home victory over Brighton at the weekend. They have scored 19 goals in six games, but have hit the back of the net in each of the last 11.

    • The club with the best away record in the division are looking to extend their club record haul of victories on the road to 13 with a third in succession. That would also take the longest current unbeaten sequence away from home in the Championship to seven games.

    • Ricardo Vaz Te has scored eight goals in five games.
