Youth Football........

It seems like only yesterday that I was posting about managing my boys under 7 side.....well it wasn't....this Sunday we play our first match at under 11's !!!!!!!!!!!!

After four years of 7v7 football we now change to 9v9 with the introduction of offsides, bigger goals and bigger pitches.

Typically we had just started to get the hang of the 7v7 format, finishing second in our league and losing in the cup semi finals last season....also had a nice 10 match winning streak in there as well.

Its only kids football but I love it...it takes over my life lol. Myself and my mate who runs the team with me must text every single day about something to do with the team, anyone would think we get paid for it the amount of time we spend talking about it.

So this Sunday is our first appearance in the County Cup.....cant wait....but a bit nervous as well.

I remember those days well. I also ran a team and served as Divisional Secretary on the League Committee. It does take over and control your life somewhat. Do I miss it? Sometimes. I don't miss the hassle from managers though.
