Re: Man U V West Ham United FC
I don't think we are ever going to get a better opportunity to beat Man Utd then we have today , If I was Sam I would go with exactly the same tactic`s as last week against Liverpool as Their defence is going to be weaker then ours so Sakho and Valencia could cause real big problems for them at the back !
I would keep with the same team as last week moving Song into the position Kouyate was playing and then bringing Zarate and put him where Song was playing in this diamond formation we are playing
I`m going to predict a 3-2 Win for West Ham , They are always going score at least one with the forward players they have but I just have a feeling we will come away from Old Trafford with the 3 points today !

Re: Man U V West Ham United FC
funnily enough, i'm quite confident. We seem to do ok at Old trafford, just top of my head we beat them 1-0 with Tevez, Di Canio and Defoe (I was their, executive box. never forget that day)
They are their for the beating
They are their for the beating

Don't think Tevez was playing with Defoe - the game you're thinking of was in the FA Cup when Bartez did his wobbly legs and DiCanio slotted it in to beat them 1:0. The Tevez game was also 1:0 when we avoided relegation and Wanker Warnock got the hump.

West Ham United : Adrian,Demel,Tomkins,Reid,Cresswell,Downing,Song,Poyet,Amalfitano,Sakho,Valencia
West Ham Subs : Jaaskelainen,Jenkinson,Collins,Nolan,Vaz Te,Zarate,Cole
Like the fact he has started with Poyet in game like this - always good to see !! , It`s nice to see us have a strong starting 11 and also have some good players on the bench to turn to if we need them

Noble failing a fitness test gives Poyet a chance to show what he can do.
Strange to see Song as skipper thought that would have gone to Reid.

Re: Man U V West Ham United FC
Poor decision by Adrian to smash the ball into the middle rather than out wide then Song gives it away, no pressing 2-0

What's the tactics today? Are we aiming to let them score 3 and then do a Leicester?

Goal pulled back by Sakho.
Gave them far too much room first half.

The plastic manc fans persisted in persuading him until the end Daz. Shows how desperate they were.

Re: Man U V West Ham United FC
saw bits and pieces of the game (was in the pub drinking - which is always my favorite way to start a sturdy morning)
thought we played well (missed most of the 1st half)
very unlucky not to have to 'goal' allowed
sad to see Cole and Nolan on the park... but over all thought it was a decent performance after a dodgy first half
looks like we have the makings of a decent team
gotta steam roller over Burnley and QPR to be ready face Man City with 6 additional points in the bag.

I meant on three separate occasions we beat them 1-0 at OT, defoe, di Canio and tevez respectivelyRichB wrote:Don't think Tevez was playing with Defoe - the game you're thinking of was in the FA Cup when Bartez did his wobbly legs and DiCanio slotted it in to beat them 1:0.
