Childrens Football.......

We had a meeting last week with our Chairman and the other 6 managers of our teams to talk about the coming season.

They mentioned something about changing the age that kids can play competetive football. Apparently it has been changed but I cant find anything online about it. We were told we will be allowed to see league tables and play in cups the season following this, Under 9's, but will then lose it again until under 11.

What are they supposedly achieving by doing this ?

There has been no competitive football for U9's and below for years. Although, most regional FA's sanction a 'Friendly League'.

However, what's friendly about published league tables, winners trophies and medals beats me.

I've been out of the loop for a couple of years now so can't throw any light on it. Perhaps you should attend your League AGM, they should be able to tell you more.
