No Cresswell even on the bench either...
what the fupp is Moyes doing at this club?
Arnie, Collins, Cresswell and Sakho all injured. Moyes also said that Carroll is carrying an injury and if he had a choice he would not be involved at all.
He is doing fine at this club
it's interesting... watching the games, feeling rather than thinking... it certainly seems like there's a difference... and Facebook is full of plonkers saying 'moyes is great' 'the club should up his contract already'... so I thought I'd take a butchers...
He's been in charge for 12 games.
His stats...
W - 3
L - 5
D - 4
So I thought... hmm... not looking so good... certainly not what you'd have expected if you'd asked me to guess what the outcome of those 12 games were... and those three victories weren't back to back and to be honest we only beat WBA because they were knackered and ran out of gas in the final 15 minutes but had looked good for a draw or to beat us up till that point.
So I looked at Bilic's final 12 games... and I know everyone says... Bilic had lost the dressing room... wasn't getting the team to train properly... moyes has come in and switched things around... improved discipline, etc...
But it's not the worst comparison because it's the same bunch of players... Moyes hasn't had the chance to buy anyone yet... it's the same team so any changes in performance or discipline or fitness would surely show in the results..
So here's Bilic's final 12 games...
W - 5
L - 4
D - 3
And that form (along with a year or more of the same) got Bilic the sack...
If you look at stats... Moyes win percentage with us is actually the 2nd worst of his career - second only to his hopeless last stint in europe.
So yeah... I'll state my bias up front... don't like Moyes, never have, never wanted him at West Ham and would be happy to drop him off at the bus or train station myself...
But... even cynical old moi was surprised at those numbers... I wasn't expecting them to shape out the way they did.
Because it does "feel" like there's been an improvement... but results don't lie.
My thoughts are, it's still way too early to really judge Moyes at all.
His results if they continue as they are will get us relegated. Hopefully the transfer window will give us the chance to bring in someone(S) who might help out and maybe get rid of some of the shite we've been carrying for so long now.
As things stand there's three teams that could leap frog us if they win their next game and we lose or draw to Huddersfield. So even without losing, we could be 2nd from bottom in a week's time...
These are not comfortable times and I hope they get better sooner rather than later.
