should have had this one...

we're still only 3 points from the drop zone no matter what actual position we are in the table...

if Newcastle beat Man City they could go ahead of us (fortunately there's zero chance of that happening... right?)

well fortunately Newcastle didn't win...

so we're 11th in the table behind Watford on goal difference and 2 points behind Everton in 9th

we're also only 3 points above the relegation zone, that's right, 3 points is the spread from 11th to 17th

now, if by some quirk of fate, Southampton are to beat the Spuds tomorrow... that would put them on 24 points... which would mean we'd only be 3 points from actually being IN the relegation zone...

so you see how important goal difference becomes and how crucial the difference between 1 point and 3 points is and will be for the remainder of the season

of course, there's no way Soton will win tomorrow... is there?

but we really do need to be beating teams like Bournemouth... especially because they're right around us in the table...

I'm here monkey, and read your posts during the game. A lot of the others seem to live on fb these days, I tend to not go on there much. I'd prefer to chat about West Ham on here. You've hit the nail on the head, if we beat the teams around us we can move away from the bottom. Yesterday was two points lost not one gained. This year other than the big six, everyone could get pulled into the relegation issue. Getting good results against cheats, le arse and spuds is all well and good but only if we beat the Bournemouth's of  the world as well.
