    TEAM NEWS

West Ham centre-back James Tomkins had been expected to miss
out after suffering a groin injury, but boss Sam Allardyce has not ruled
    him out yet.

Abdoulaye Faye is standing by for his home debut in case Tomkins is not able to play.

Peterborough United defender Gabriel Zakuani has been nursing a toe injury in recent weeks.

But the player is receiving injections in an effort to ensure that he plays at Upton Park.

    MATCH FACTS

    Head-to-head

    • These clubs have only met twice and West Ham have won both matches.

    • They competed in the old Second Division together 19
seasons ago. After winning 3-1 at London Road in September 1992, the
Hammers edged a 2-1 victory at Upton Park in February 1993.

    West Ham United

    • West Ham are unbeaten in six Championship games, and have
14 points (W4, D2, L1), making it their best start to a league season in
    eight years.

    • They have picked up six more points on their travels than
at home; 10 on the road, four at Upton Park. Only Middlesbrough exceed
    that, with seven.

    • The Hammers boast the biggest average gate in the Championship.

    Peterborough United

    • Peterborough are seeking their first back-to-back wins in the Championship, since March 2010.

    • They are without victory in six away league games having
alternated between draw and defeat since a 2-0 win at Dagenham on 5
April. A draw is due, if that sequence is to continue.

    • Darren Ferguson's side are surviving on the lowest average attendances in the Championship.

Need a big win today to make up for the screw up against the pikeys and the near complet balls up against pompey, 4-0 will make me smile a lot, anything less is not good enough if we really want to show this league we are the billy big boots in this Division.

Indeed, Motty. I've got nothing against Peterborough - perfectly decent little club, done well to get this far, good luck to them and their fans - but we really do need to make a mess of them today. A hat-full of goals and a clean sheet for the Cockney boys, please - now get on with it! WH Flag

    Teams are

West Ham United: Green, O'Brien, Reid, Faye, McCartney, Noble, Lansbury Nolan, Faubert, Taylor, Cole
Subs: Boffin, Tomkins, Bentley, Baldock, Carew

Peterborough United: Jones, Little, Bennett, Zakuani, Alcock, Tunnicliffe, Rowe, Frecklington, McCann, Boyd, Sinclair
Subs: Lewis, Wootton, Kearns, Tomlin, Taylor

Looks like 4-5-1 to me but with Baldock on the benchBFS can change to 4-4-2 if the going gets tuff

I think BFS said something about sticking to a 4-3-3 and swapping to 4-4-2 when we start to struggle with 4-3-3 Smile Tho I wish BFS would start with 4-4-2 today with Cole and Baldock upfront

Agreed Arran , need to get at least one more to put thier heads down . Its always hard to judge the game when you only have radio , but maybe a change wont hurt in the 2nd half . COYI

I just dont get why BFS starts Bentley on the bench and faubert on the pitch ??? I would put bentley starting and faubert on the bench ... Faubert has done nothing to impress me so far this season in the games he has played Smile Also this is the sort of game baldock would a few in
