According to the Swedish papers longshanks 193cm Olsson is very close to signing a deal with West Ham telling the Aftonbladet that he really wants to play in London

Discussions have taken place with regard to a deal to sign Joselu and taking Jese Rodriguez on a season long loan as far as I'm told
both from Real Madrid

Re: Silly Season Summer 2012
Played yesterday and looks like he had a good game for us yesterday , He scored a cheeky backheel but was disallowed as he was offside
I think he would be a good signing on a free tbh , Gary O`Neil and Kazim-richards as Our Right midfielders - I would be happy with them two which allows Vaz Te to take up a strikers role alongside Cole or Maige.

Re: Silly Season Summer 2012
Has anyone else shown interest in Colin ? I dont watch much Turkish football so I havent seen him play since his blunt days.
Sam will go 4-5-1 as he always does, Cole or Maiga up front on their own. We will then be fooled into thinking that whoever is playing on the left and right of the pitch are playing alongside said front man in a 4-3-3. I know Maiga can play on the wing but think even that would be a bit too attacking for Sam.

Re: Silly Season Summer 2012
This had got to be what you said Geezer, a rumour!
No-one would want to be at any club where the home crowd were calling him a cnut...you'd have to be really thick skinned to....errrrm, could be a maybe then?

He would fit in so well with Sam's ethos of big strikers! Next.

West Ham sign Spiegel
LONDON: West Ham United have signed teenage goalkeeper Raphael Spiegel from Swiss side Grasshopper Zurich for an undisclosed fee, the newly-promoted Premier League side announced on Monday.
The 19-year-old, who is a Swiss under-20 internationalist, has signed a three-year contract with an option for a further year and will arrive in East London this week.
The 6ft 3in custodian is expected to provide back-up to senior goalkeepers Jussi Jaaskelainen and Stephen Henderson, who both joined the Hammers this summer following the club's promotion from the second tier Championship.
West Ham have also brought in defender George McCartney, midfielder Mohamed Diame and Mali forward Modibo Maiga as manager Sam Allardyce shapes his squad for the new campaign.

Re: Silly Season Summer 2012
poster from kumb who is pretty spot on with all information
Apparently we met with officials/representatives from Malaga and Real Mallorca over the weekend and a respected Spanish scout. I have no idea if this was to discuss specific players or a more general 'trawl'. Maybe a bit like the Italian job ealier in the summer? Anyway its there FWIW.

Jack Sullivan @jsullivanwhu
Dad is working on the biggest signing in the history of the club. TWICE as big as anything as the club have done before !
