Spence and Jordan certainly doing ok. Great goal line clearance from potts and spence tidying up when Jussi dropped one.
Taylor put in an awful cross in a good position, Cole gave away the ball very cheaply froma potentially good break out and vaz te hit a very tame who at the keeper when he should have welled it or slipped in the hard working o neill.

Only 1-0 and it gave us the chance to try someone else at centre half.
Important game is Saturday.

No disgrace considering we really are down to the bare bones
Also playing shite like O'Neil gave us the chance to rest Joe Cole, Matt Jarvis and Kevin Nolan as well as giving Noble more time to recover for Saturday's game. Demel got a rest too. Cole, Vaz Te and Taylor also a waste of space tonight. Expect Chamakh to start on Saturday. Good to see Diame making a comeback too
Saturday's team will probably be Jussi, Demel, Reid, Tomkins, O'Brien*/Potts, Diame, Diarra/Noble*, Nolan, Jarvis, Joe Cole, Chamakh
*If fit

Well happy Shrek missed the penalty , thought that PD favored Man poo , they get a penalty and we don't even though ours was more of a penalty than theirs IMO . Seems red nose ain't too happy with our tuff football approach , wanker , what about some of their tackles especially Scum Scholes . There's always going to be that favoritism when anyone plays the red scum and that prat fungie .
Arry,s mob up next and we need to stuff them good and proper
A big shout goes out to the 1400 traveling fans who went to old toilet in shit weather and outsung the Manc scum for most of the game .

Yeah, the most impressive thing was definitely the travelling support, but at least we didn't get tanked.Spence looks a better bet as a wing-back than a central defender, and Diarra looks like he could do a passable job for us if we needed an emergency CB. That defence made mistakes, sure, and ManPoo were only firing on three cylinders most of the time, but they still did a reasonable job. Coming forward (apart from setpieces) we just looked toothless all round, but only to be expected IMO given the players being rested. A useful training exercise, now back to what really counts.

every Tony, SOI and Geezer said, specially Geezers point about the fantastic fans. I will say that although I agree with Tony about O'neill and Vaz te being somewhat useless, at least under Sam they TRY and fail, rather then previous managers who had useless players who didn't even try.

O'Neil certainly tries. Vaz Te doesn't IMO. He ambles about looking disinterested most of the time. Right now I am putting it down to a lack of match fitness but my worry is that he has simply not got "what it takes" mentally - or ability-wise to make it at the top level. Obviously I hope it is just a fitness issue

well at least with Sam as our manager im at least confident that if Vaz te isn't up to snuff, specially in terms of applications if not talent, then he'll be drummed out the club. Sam seems to be all about results and no room for sentimentality with Sam IMHO

with regards to Vaz Te. O'Neil bust a gut last night, but he isn't a premiership starter IMHO, but a good squad player. thought that both Spence and Potts did well last night, especially coming forward, but once they did, there wasn't anything in the last third. Every time we got into their box, we wanted to long on the ball or looked like we were scared and wanted others to take responsibility. overall not to bad considering, and the 1400 were magnificent , loved 'Is there a fire drill?' around the 80 min mark as the people from Surrey all left!!

They were charging £45 per ticket for a night game up north that was live on TV. We charged them £25 per ticket. Robbing northern monkeys

Seems like the FA are gonna look into Sam,s remarks to Phil the Manc Dowd after the bullshit decisions regarding the penalty claims at old toilet .
‘It’s got to be that simple. Phil Dowd was in the perfect position. Rafael pushes the ball away with his left arm. No penalty. Go to the other end and the ball hits Jordan’s hand. If you give one you have to give both, simple as that.
‘I’ve looked at the referee’s position for the Rafael one and it is perfect - straight in line and right in front of it. He had a worse position for Jordan’s.’
