As things stand at present, I've got an overwhelming desire to hide under the duvet until this one is all over. Anyone got any spare mindless optimism pills??

We are not going to win against this bunch of thugs, much like we didn't against Stoke.
It could be embarrassing, hence, I'm off out t' club.

Re: Southampton V West ham United FC
Not an avid watched of Southampton, they are often fast forwarded through MOTD to get to us (invariably last on the schedule), but from what I've seen of them they got some decent players who play quite attractive, passing football?

I would rather have Vaz Te up front and play the game on the floor

Re: Southampton V West ham United FC
Thing with Maiga is he doesn`t seem to want to put his body on the line and try and win a header like Carroll does or even Cole did when he played for us and that is what annoys me the most , I could put up with striker who doesn`t score but at least puts his body on the line to try and score etc like Carroll and Cole .

I see Noble still there to give the ball away.

Re: Southampton V West ham United FC
Maiga is never going to be an all-action centre forward like Andy Carroll and to be fair he wins his fair share of headers. What frustrates me is his lack of movement off the ball and his seeming inability to offer himself as a option for the players coming from midfield. We heard during pre-season that he had been encouraged to run the channels and show more. I have seen little evidence of this to date.
