Re: Arsenal V West Ham United FC
another must win game to turn around a season that's not really lived up to expectations...
but enough about Arsenal...
yes, we DO need to win this.
yes, Arsenal are so spotty that there's every chance we could pull off a victory.
I don't want to escape relegation on 37 points.
I wanna be chasing and overtake Stoke to finish in tenth spot in the table.

If Wigan can give this mob a game then surely so can we, plus they were taken to extra time and pens and will hopefully be knackered.

Good chance of a result from this, the Arse are fragile this season and we can take advantage.

exactly my thoughts on the matter.
i actually thought todays game was at UP so was a bit gutted when i saw the thread title. at UP I would have fancied us given the circumstances.
Didn't arsenal give us a right caning earlier this season? time for revenge tonight...

its either gonna be a 5-0 stuffing or we really upset the fuppers, would not mind seeing Everton sneak in to that 4th spot just for a laugh

Re: Arsenal V West Ham United FC
Not with the team we have put out....With both Jarvis and Downing on the wing Mertesacker will have a nice easy game.......Nocerino starting? wtf? I'm just hoping Adrian has some extra extra large gloves on for the lacing that their midfield are gonna be doing at his goal!Admin wrote:2-1 to us , you heard it here first

Re: Arsenal V West Ham United FC
If we had gone in leading at half time I would have fancied us to go on and win it.
We look good on the counter and dangerous from set plays and could have had a couple ( Jarvis pen, Diame miss) before we took the lead, They look dangerous between half way and our 18 yard box, got to stop giving it back to them when we have possession in our half,
Decent performance so far,
Stand Firm West Ham

Unfortunately we didn't stand firm. Now I'm wondering if we can sneak a goal and sqeeze a 2:2 draw

Re: Arsenal V West Ham United FC
all gone a bit typically Pete Tong...
looked decent for 0-1 but then let them back in just at the wrong moment (i.e. while the game was still being played)
then let them score again in the 2nd half and allowing them to look extremely comfortable and good for the win.
we got 14 minutes to turn this shitshow around...
except as I type that... the Arse go and score again..
3-1
yet another game lost from a winning position.

Re: Arsenal V West Ham United FC
We just don't have the quality or pace especially in central midfield to live with the likes of Arsenal over 90 mins.
We are what we are, a one dimensional outfit that will nick a few results with our hit and hope style which has been totally based around the signing of Andy Carroll.
Cazorla rightly named man of the match, pulled all the strings for them and exactly the type of player we don't have and need so badly
Ps, Fat Sam thinks that was a good performance, we played well and lost !!

Re: Arsenal V West Ham United FC
well that was a proper defensive horror show
20 points now lost from a leading position, that needs sorting next season

didn't turn up second half did we. shame, as was said, if it had stayed 1-0 at half time i reckon we would have done it

No mate, we didn't turn up second half and they stepped up a gear and we don't have a Rosicky, Cazorla or Ramsey to really pull the strings and make things happen with energy, pace and precision

It was good while it lasted, til we scored to be exact. I really don't fancy our chances against Palace on Saturday .... We'll survive the drop by the skin of our teeth I reckon...
