Re: Non-League Thread
Professional performance tonight to win 2-0.
One bad thing to come out of the game was our goal keeper, who was picked for
an England C International call up this week, had a clash of knees with their striker
Enoch Showunmi who is not a little bloke. Our keeper got carried off and for the second time
in a few weeks we beat them with an outfield player finishing the game in goal.
Onto Saturday now....good luck dude

let you off the hook first half mate, hoping we dont pay for missing so many
chances. I think you scored with your first attempt at goal.

Sounds like we were well off the boil today
but having the top forward having to go in goal , I thought it was game over when you went 2-1
sounds like your lot need to learn how to kill a game off

Re: Non-League Thread
Good game over all. We started well and should really have been
out of sight before half time. Your keeper looked like he picked
up an injury really early on, apparently someone spoke to a relative
of his who said he was being sick at half time. Our game seemed to
go a bit flat after going 2-1 up and we let you back in again. Your
winger was sent off for spitting in a players face in view of the linesman
who after confronting the linesman then went back to the changing room
and took it out on the new changing room door. As you will know you do get a few
special fans at away games and today was no exception lol pissed up and shirts off as it
was pissing down with rain
One smashed fan decided to run on the pitch and apparently FA rules state he has to leave
the ground, so after being escorted out of the gate he then decided to keep shouting his
mouth off and trying to get back in. It was hilarious to watch, he was having a go at one of
our committee but I don't think he could even see straight he was that pissed.
Shows how far we have come though to be disappointed in not taking points off of a team at
the top of this league.

That does not sound like manny (player who got sent off) He must have found some passion from somewhere as he normally quiet ish , if he has spat at a player I expect Jason to fecking hammer him as that will not go down well with him
and as for strange fans , me and my mate clocked quite a few last week that we had never seen before

Re: Non-League Thread
well that was the second game in a row we really had to grind out a result
well well on top the first 30 mins and should have been 3 up in that time but went in at half time just with one goal
second half we were under it from start to finish
will take that
top of the league with a game in hand
But knowing what this league is like we could well be only a few points of the relegation places by christmas

Re: Non-League Thread
Well done dude.
Great result for us Monday night, one of the Chelmsford players giving it the big club little club interview done our teamtalk for us I think.
Very tight down the bottom of the table so a very welcome 3 points.
Hoping for a professional performance in the FA Cup this weekend.

Re: Non-League Thread
Dont like Ebbsfleet, had some trouble with them last season when we had a power cut that wiped out the area when they were beating us at home, the match was abandoned and their keeper tweeted about our tinpot club, he has mental issues I think, even their own fans said so. One of their special fans picked a bin up and threw it on the pitch whilst kicking seats as they walked out.
Hope you win.

Lovely to see you signed on "RR" Campo, promised you'll get a good reception (never never ever needed but we mods would delete anything abusive just in case!) !
They're bound to be interested epecially if you mention you're from Basingstoke way!

Wealdstone 0-1 Basingstoke
After the games against Concord, Ebbsfleet and now Wealdstone I have suggested the new away kit to look like this

Re: Non-League Thread
One for Campo not to miss!
Basingstoke Town Official Club Site
Basingstoke Town FC can today confirm the signing of former Premier League star James Harper
The 33-year-old joined Barnet in March 2014 having been let go by the Sky Bet Championship outfit Doncaster Rovers in order to pursue regular first-team football away from the Keepmoat, where he has been since 2012 and was part of the club’s championship-winning squad the previous year.
A Reading stalwart of more than 300 appearances, Harper began his professional football life with Arsenal but had to leave Highbury in 2001 in order to gain competitive football. He gained vital Premier League experience in his time in Berkshire, making countless appearances in the English top-flight over the Royals two-season stay.
He left the Madejski Stadium in 2010 and played for Sheffield United, Hull City and Wycombe Wanderers on loan before signing for Doncaster August 2012. He was released by the Bees at the end of last season after six appearances but was invited back for pre-season training.
“We are delighted that someone of James quality and expereince has joined our squad. He has already shown in training what he can add to the side and we are looking forward to seeing him in action” commented Basingstoke Town Manager Jason Bristow.
James Harper will go straight into the squad for tomorrow’s FA Cup clash against Harrow Borough.
All the best of luck sir!!

Lost 2-1 did not play too well but to be honest its hard when the referee is so fupping bias it is untrue
Fuming this evening after watching what can only be described as a referee that should be looked at for corruption, I know refs make mistakes and I can handle and accept that but the wanker that took charge of our game today needs an investigation
