It's almost nailed on, ain't it? I rated him and I don't think we ever got the best out of him - Bruce might well do it.

Re: Hull V West Ham United FC
I`ve said this to loads of people , I can guarantee that we will see the Diame we saw in his first season with us for the reason that Hull will play him in his favourite Defensive Midfield position !

Re: Hull V West Ham United FC
Is he a defensive midfielder ?
I can never remember him just sitting in there defending.

Re: Hull V West Ham United FC
Looks like Valencia will get a chance instead of the tree, hopefully BFS will play Zarete or Sakho behind him, maybe play Morrison instead of Vaz? Or is that to attacking? Hull play with three at the back so hopefully there may be space for Downing to get down the wings. However like lost of you if I was a betting man I would have money on Diame scoring for them
Still think it will be a draw

Re: Hull V West Ham United FC
Diame is an attacking central midfielder
This is turning in to a must win game already, we have some very hard fixtures coming up soon

Re: Hull V West Ham United FC
Dickhead Sky Sports presenter started the news with surprisingly no Diame in the Hull team....only for the banner to roll across the screen with Diames name in it.
Attacking line up for us but I probably have as much clue of the formation as Sam does.

Indeed Old busted mattress face has just said he is playing Diame just off the two strikers

Well we know it won't be 4-4-2 don't we? I think it will be Sakho wide and Valencia wide in a 3 - or vice-versa.

Re: Hull V West Ham United FC
I will take that, much better performance, this team could do well once it has gelled
I did not realise that Hull had such a strong squad
Dont think either of us will be at the bottom

Re: Hull V West Ham United FC
Disappointed with a point.
You can guarantee if we get it right going forward we will fupp it up defensively.
Don't know what the answer is though as Tomkins and Collins always have a mistake in them
maybe time to work on someone else alongside Reid.

Re: Hull V West Ham United FC
Encouraging signs, decent spells of possession, some good moments from the new signings, obviously including the belter from Valencia I know it won't happen but would like to see Song start instead of Noble ! And not sure about Reids body language, may be I'm completely wrong ( I know how much most of you like pointing that out ! ) but I get the feeling he seems distant and would rather be somewhere else ??

Neither are leaders. They both appear to be poor communicators and prone to lapses of concentrationKray JR wrote:I think you are wrong, Tomkins is more distant than Reid

Re: Hull V West Ham United FC
They were looking at each other after the first goal, which was Tomkins error, but they were both as Tony says not communicating with each other. Reid's body language was not good at all, and he did look as if he didn't really want to be there. Central defence seems to be our major weakness at the moment. Song should play ahead of Noble, but he won't. The forward play was far better than its been for a while, Zarate looks a good player, and I was impressed by Downing's overall play put in a real shift, was good through the centre and still managed to get out wide as well. Not much you can say about Valencias goal, superb, and he was so unlucky at the end with the header. Hull are no mugs and played to their strengths, not many teams will beat them at the KFC stadium this season if they continue like that.

Re: Hull V West Ham United FC
I wasn't happy with either full back last night either Motty. Cresswell gets beaten too easily and - accepting that he is not that big - doesn't even bother competing in the air. I cannot remember him putting in one cross last night. In addition his throw-in to Kouyate was irresponsible and schoolboy to say the least
As for Demel, he likes to get forward but is too ponderous when he gets himself into good positions. His defending was poor last night too. All the time Quinn was on the pitch he had "cart-blanche" to cross whenever he wanted to. He looked knackered after 65 mins too. Jenkinson will replace him on Saturday but Cresswell needs to up his game - particularly defensively
Add to that a keeper who is not filling me with confidence right now and our whole back five is a bit too shaky for my liking
