Well, here we go... need a performance like we put in against ManUre but without conceding in the last bloody minute.

Soton is going to be tough...

but this should rouse the troops and/or put a smile on everyone's face:

West Ham manager Sam Allardyce says "there is no coach more sophisticated" than him in the Premier League.
Allardyce, 60, has guided the Hammers to eighth place in the top flight before Wednesday's trip to Southampton.
"I don't think there is any coach more sophisticated than me any more," said Allardyce. "That's not trying to criticise any other coaches.
"But there is only Arsene Wenger who has done it longer than me. I'm just as good as everybody at this stage."
Arsenal boss Wenger has been in charge since September 1996, with Allardyce first managing in the Premier League with Bolton in 2001.
Allardyce was under heavy pressure at Upton Park a year ago after a run of bad results and criticism of his style of play, but has turned their fortunes around.

Well it looks like Carroll and Nolan are both out of tonight's game so that`s a good start
I would keep with the Same team but swapping Amalfitano for Nolan ! I think we may come out this tonight with all three points as I think Sakho n Valencia are going cause Saints a lot of problems along with Downing

For me, a tough, tough game. I'd take a point before kick off.

Southampton have problems at left-back with Ryan Bertrand still suspended and Matt Targett out with a head injury

Morgan Schneiderlin is an injury doubt, but new signing Filip Djuricic could play after receiving his work permit

Andy Carroll is "touch and go" to return from a knee injury, while Kevin Nolan could miss out with a foot problem

James Tomkins is available despite breaking his nose on Sunday as Winston Reid and James Collins remain absent

winning only one of their last seven in the Premier League, the Hammers go looking for a first win at Southampton in nearly 15 years

Carroll injured - either for reals, from nothing -- or time wasting, which we don't like to see.

Carroll is deffo injured... he's limping around the pitch...

Well most people would have taken a point at the start so given the circumstances one can't complain.

Yep. A good result for us in the end, considering.  One shot on target for us, so the defending saved us in the end, and a top class save from Jussi.  Really not looking forward to our cup game up at the Hawthorns Saturday 

How many games will Adrian miss with his suspension?

In the Premiership, if a player gets sent off they will miss one other match.

When a player in the English Premier League receives a straight red card in a game, that player is removed from the game and then receives an automatic three-match ban.

I see the club are going to appeal his Red Card , But should that not be successful then he will get a 3 match ban as it was a straight Red and not two yellow`s then a Red in which case he would of only of got a 1 match ban

I can't see an appeal being successful but then that's me being unbiased. There was clearly a touch but I think Adrian was already intending to fall on the ball whatever. Good job we've got Jussi.
