Remember watching him play Motty when I lived over there 1971/72. an absolute legend no doubt

My dad took me to West Ham but it was Billy Bonds that made me want to go back.

Oh I did, Bonds, Brooking, Devonshire et al, they were the reason I love the place so much.

Bonzo the buccaneer. Shoulder length hair, a real man's beard, socks around his ankles & no shinpads. They don't make them like that these days.

And they played for the shirt , unlike the overpaid , underachieving pansies today

Yeah they sure did. Lampard Snr, Mcdowell, Tommy Taylor, Pop Robson. all heros doing it for the club.

I remember when Sky started first they had a programme called "The Boss" or something like that. They featured Billy early on (he was our boss, obviously) and he came across with honesty and dignity. I think he had two daughters and said as soon as the job interferred with his home life, he was off.

Like everyone else here, I think Bonds epitomises why I'm a Hammer. Top Guy.
