Re: Sunderland V West Ham United FC
exactly... well done Admin.
Lordy... another must win game
Shame none of the players or manager realized the cause of the boos after out last time out...
we all get a win being a win and winning at any cost given the position we're in... and yes, it's tough playing against ten men but to play so poorly - at home - and only win thanks to a totally fluked own goal... that kind of stuff is gonna piss people off no matter who or where you are.
Hopefully by monday results will have gone in our favor, although there's two games where we kinda need both teams to lose.
Being away from home might lessen the pressure a little as our road support seems much more behind the team - but no matter how shitty they are... Sunderland will not be easy to beat at their home.

Sunderland won't be easy to beat as you say Monkey, but I quite fancy a win against the scousers to see us safe!

Least I don't have to get up early on a saturday this week.
Hope results go our way and those people who bought that banner to fly over Old Trafford get value for money.

Hard to see anything else being on his mind. But you never know with West Ham, after the last display you would say it's nailed on that we will play clueless, dull crap again - but we might get something completely different. Here's hoping!

No confidence going in to this, Black Cats will see us there for the taking and 3 easier points in their run in to avoid relegation and will, like all other teams out possess and out pass us, can't see us winning and will be happy with a point

Re: Sunderland V West Ham United FC
well the good thing so far is that pretty much all the games today went in our favor.
we're still in 11th place
Stoke have pulled away and a pretty safe on 40pts but it's the teams below us that we want to be watching, beating and pulling away from and that's about what happened thanks to me plucky Cardiff eking out a point with an equalizer 5 minutes into 4 minutes of extra time.
And to top everything off John Terry headed cleanly into his own net to lose the game for Cheatski...
Not a bad day so far.
Of course... it'll all be so much better if we come away from the grim north with 3 points...

Re: Sunderland V West Ham United FC
I think if we this and then Win one more out of the remaining 6 I think we will be safe for another season , Tomorrow is going to be very tough and if we play like we did against Hull then Sunderland will hammer us that`s for sure
I think it will end in a tight 1-0 win for us that or a very close 0-0

If we play like we did last time out we are gonna get a spanking , time to set the " park the bus plan " into action Sam and catch the northern monkeys on the brake .

Re: Sunderland V West Ham United FC
Our style of play is more suited to away games. Sit in, soak up pressure and put the home fans on edge. The exact same thing that happens to us at UP. If we get a point tomorrow night it keeps Sunderland 9 points (3 wins and a draw) behind us and one game less to catch us
Three points would be nice but I would take a point right now

no Ginge for this game.
I hope he goes with a Reid/Tomkins central pairing... not some jerry-riged McCartney/Carroll with Reid and Collison in the sides... trust me... anything's possible.

Re: Sunderland V West Ham United FC
I don't see this as a must win.
An away point would suit me fine, but maybe the team will get all three as away fans don't tend to boo.
We beat Sunderland and they are all but gone... Changing manager helped them no end.

Re: Sunderland V West Ham United FC
Well Sunderland weren't bad at Liverpool and seem to hold their own there.
Much better in midfield then us and seem to have more clues as to how to get towards goal.
I hope we have a lucky evening and come out of this with 3 points or even 1 however just cannot see it.

For some reason I have gone right off JT in our defence he fills me with no confidence at all, hope he proves me wrong if he plays tonight.

Blunderland playing 3 at the back could leave it open for Downing
