I am pretty sure the attraction of Swansea was he would be guaranteed first choice - we have Carroll as first choice - and European football. Not sure us having the funds would have made any difference

I just have a gut feeling he will do very well there and we will be left wishing we had signed him and played him and Carroll up front 4-4-2

Understatement of the Year , Campo. Nothing personal, I'm sure Titus Bramble is a smashing bloke to meet, and his mum loves him, etc. - I just don't want to see him in a West Ham shirt - even a training top - because he is a truly awful defender.

That would be a decent signing. He can play as the right hand "wide" player in a front 3 with Carroll at the tip and Jarvis on the left. It will give RVT competition. He also scored 15 goals for Lille last season which is a healthy return IMO

Not sure he wants to play in a wider position from what I am reading online. Can't see him getting ahead of AC in the focal striker's role though

Kalou would kill two birds with one stone, he can play up front as a carroll back up or competition for Vaz Te.

Agreed. Would be a good signing if he is prepared to play to the right. Wasn't a huge fan when he was at Chelsea but he did seem to score against us a fair bit! Would seem to fit the bill for us perfectly and at a very decent fee for a player of his age and experience. Hope it goes through.

I'd be happy to see Kalou in the squad, would give us some options. Let's hope it's not just rumour bollox.

Big Sam has confirmed that we are currently in talks with Kalou`s agent over a possible move , If we get Kalou , He would be a brilliant signing as he can score goals as proven last season and during his time with Chelsea and he can play out on the right, left or even the centre as a striker so we have 3 positions covered with just one player and like Rat he has experience playing in the champions league which will help the team make that next step from mid table to Europa league places .

Finger Cross that he signs for us in the next few weeks or even days !

If this is true, and actually happened, that would make our "Plan B" if (sorry, when) Carroll was injured just a lower quality version of our "Plan A" IMO. Might be better to have something a little different as an option.

Anyway, I can't imagine why Saints should want to unload him unless they are forced to.

Apparently Kalou has turned us down. Didn't want to play second fiddle to Carroll, wanted to play through the middle.

A pity if true. Kalou will do a good job for someone in the lower echelons of the PL.
