Re: stoke after Cole
I've no inside info but I reckon qpr will snap him up as the window closes. He'll play the opening matches for us before going there. My basis for this is they appear to be having problems signing players & they'll need someone to keep Dyer company in the treatment room.

Re: stoke after Cole
that works out at ...........3.928 games per goal (I think, maffs was never a biggie when you joined the SPG!). That is not that bad a tally, when you also take into account the injuries he has had.
While I would love to see a prolific 25 goals a season player at UP, is it going to happen next season? Doubt it, but the Tree may find his shooting boots and be the man to push us back up.
Then he will become a West Ham leg end

Re: stoke after Cole
The Tree has his say. From the offishul..........
Carlton Cole is stepping up his pre-season wank having returned to action in a West Ham United shirt.
The England striker is set to travel with the rest of the squad for Wednesday's match away to FC Copenhagen having made his first appearance of the pre-season in last week's match with FC Basel. He looked more than lively and Cole is more than prepared to cope with the rigours of a lengthy Championship campaign.
"I am feeling positive," he told whufc.com. "I have been doing some wank on my own as well as with the rest of the team out in our training camp in Switzerland. I then came on in our game on Wednesday and it was good to play. I feel good and strong."
Cole, who is the club's second longest-serving player, is renowned as one of the hardest workers at Chadwell Heath and usually among the last to leave at the end of the day. While speculation remains over the future of the club's England players, with Premier League sides constantly linked with approaches - Cole is focused only on the task at hand.
The 27-year-old, who played 43 times last season, scoring eleven goals, added: "I am as committed to West Ham as always. I am a West Ham player and have no knowledge that is going to be any different. Unless I am told something different, I am a West Ham player and will be doing my all for the team.
"There has been a lot of things reported and that it was a done deal that I was moving to another club, but that is not the case and I want our fans to know, unless I am told anything different, I am as committed as ever to the team and getting the club back in the Premier League."

With a bit of luck and a fair wind, he may stay on his feet long enough to get 10 goals next season !

I think that we will step up our chase for DJ Campbell now that EG is not coming to us. Him and CC could be a good combination in the Coco Pops

Re: stoke after Cole
Johnson and £4m for Cole-Da Tree gets his London club move, we get money and an injury prone 30+ old goalscorer.
Everyones a winner. Will save sacking a physio.

I cannot see AJ leaving Fulham - who are playing in the PL AND the Europa League - to drop into the Championship. Why would he?

Cole: Committed to the West Ham cause
Carlton Cole has reiterated he remains committed to West Ham after seeing the club claim their first win of the season.
Sam Allardyce's side beat Doncaster on Saturday, with Cole coming off the bench in the 1-0 success at the Keepmoat Stadium.
The England international's future at Upton Park has been subject to speculation this summer, with a proposed move to Stoke falling through in July, while Allardyce has reshaped his squad with a flurry of signings.
But Cole insists he remains as committed to West Ham as ever and believes the competition for places can only be a good thing as the Hammers attempt to bounce back to the Premier League at the first time of asking.
"I am comfortable where I am, but obviously the manager has brought in some very good players. There is real competition for places now, and hopefully he will get the best out of me."
The striker told the Daily Mirror: "I am committed to West Ham - I always want to do well for the club because they gave me an opportunity when things were not going so well for me in my career, and I'll never forget that.
"I am comfortable where I am, but obviously the manager has brought in some very good players. There is real competition for places now, and hopefully he will get the best out of me.
"We have good quality up front, good players to support us from midfield and a good defence - now it is up to our strikers to shine. I am happy [with] who the manager has brought in to give us a kick up the backside.
"A few of the lads came in a bit disappointed about the way we won at Doncaster, but it was important to put three points on the board and any away win is valuable in this division. We hadn't had one for ages so we were really pleased with the result."
Whilst it is nice of him to acknowledge that West Ham gave him his opportunity, would he be saying all this stuff if he had a gnats cock of a chance of another club showing any interest in him? I think not, and rather than give these pointless interviews, wish he would dedicate his spare time on a bit of shooting practice! Take that as another kick up the backside Carlton.

Re: stoke after Cole
I don't want any player to feel "comfortable". I want them to be hungry, committed and always trying to improve and fight for their place
We have had too many players who have been "comfortable" at our club recently
Hopefully I have misinterpreted his meaning of "comfortable"
