West Ham United goalkeeper Rob Green has been named in Fabio Capello's latest England squad for the forthcoming European qualifiers.

The 31-year-old, who is currently considering a new contract offer from West Ham has retained his place in the 25-man roster for next week's fixtures against Bulgaria in Sofia on Friday, 2nd September and Wales at Wembley four days later.

Although unlikely to start - that honour will almost certainly belong to Manchester City's Joe Hart - Green is likely to be number two with the squad's third goalkeeper, Ipswich's David Stockdale providing a second back-up option.

Additionally, Capello's squad features three ex-Hammers including John Terry, Frank Lampard and Jermain Defoe. Scott Parker has also been included, casting further doubt over claims that playing in the Championship would affect his international career.

    England: full squad

Robert Green (West Ham United), Joe Hart (Manchester City), David Stockdale (Ipswich Town - On Loan From Fulham) ; Leighton Baines (Everton), Gary Cahill (Bolton Wanderers), Ashley Cole (Chelsea), Phil Jagielka (Everton), Phil Jones (Manchester United), Joleon Lescott (Manchester City), Micah Richards (Manchester City), Chris Smalling (Manchester United), John Terry (Chelsea) ; Gareth Barry (Manchester City), Tom Cleverley (Manchester United), Stewart Downing (Liverpool), Adam Johnson (Manchester City), Frank Lampard (Chelsea), James Milner (Manchester City), Scott Parker (West Ham United), Theo Walcott (Arsenal), Ashley Young (Manchester United); Darren Bent (Aston Villa), Andy Carroll (Liverpool), Jermain Defoe (Tottenham Hotspur), Wayne Rooney (Manchester United).

Would be a shame if Parker got injured on England duty just after he signed for the 4x2s Twisted Evil

    Just found this

England have a goalkeeper crisis ahead of their Euro 2012 qualifiers against Bulgaria and Wales after West Ham's Robert Green withdrew from the squad through injury.

On-loan Ipswich goalkeeper David Stockdale is already Joe Hart's understudy but manager Fabio Capello has added another Championship shot stopper to the ranks to replace Green: Derby's Frankie Fielding.

    And this

It seemed certain that the West Ham midfielder Scott Parker would be joining Tottenham today, but it seems that Harry Redknapp is refusing to allow Jake Livermore to move to Upton Park as part of the agreement.

The talks have hit a stalemate, with both West Ham and Tottenham refusing to budge, and now it is being reported that Redknapp is considering bringing the ex-Man Utd midfielder Owen Hargreaves to White Hart Lane instead.

Hargreaves has already passed a medical at West Bromwich Albion, but the ex-England star still harbours hopes of regaining his place in Fabio Capello’s team and is holding out for a move to a more prestigious team, and Tottenham could fit the bill.

The Sky Sports report says this

"Robert Green has had to pull out of the England squad due to injury and Frank Fielding has been called up in his place.

Green had been named as one of three goalkeepers alongside regular No.1 Joe Hart and Fulham's David Stockdale, who is currently out on loan at Ipswich.

But the West Ham player has now withdrawn from Fabio Capello's squad ahead of the Euro 2012 qualifiers against Bulgaria and Wales.

Green picked up the knock in the Hammers' 4-1 win over Nottingham Forest on Sunday.
