Diarra wanting out
L’Equipe:
Alou Diarra unhappy at WHUFC:
‘No dialogue with coach. I need to leave.’ Suggests he was pawn in agent stitch-up
‘They appointed an agent who promised the moon, soon I realized it was lies. I feel like a pawn, some made money out of me.’

Re: Jan silly season 2013
West Ham boss Sam Allardyce plans to hold talks with Alou Diarra after the midfielder indicated his unhappiness at the club in an interview.
The 31-year-old, who has struggled with injury since arriving from Marseille in the summer, has been quoted in L'Equipe, saying: "I have wasted my time".
And Allardyce has hinted he would prefer the France international to knuckle down and try to win a regular starting spot in the team.
"He is obviously clear, without telling me, that he is not happy with the situation, which is understandable," Alladyce said.
"You get this all the time as a manager when you bring a player of his experience and calibre over from France.
"It hasn't quite worked out and he feels a little disgruntled in terms of playing more, this or that.
"It is a fact of life, whereas I look at the situation and play what I consider the best team and because of Alou's long-standing injury he has found it hard to adjust to what is needed in the Premier League.
"If he is unhappy, he just has to tell me what he wants to do and we'll see how we go from there. We'll have that discussion and we'll make a decision after that on the future of Alou."

Can't be that good or he would be playing in the African nations cup?
And I've never heard of him.

Re: Jan silly season 2013
The Ivorian defender had an injury-ravaged start to his Hammers career after he joined from Hamburg in the summer of 2011.
But the former Arsenal full-back battled back to fitness and has established himself as a first-team regular under Sam Allardyce.
"It's really good for me and I'm really happy to have a new deal with West Ham," said Demel, who has made 17 appearances so far this season.
"I've had a good year this season, and even last year was good, despite the fact that I was injured for so long and struggled a bit.
"I'm happy to be at West Ham and in the team. The lads are really good with me as are the people working for the club. I hope I will stay that long to play in the new stadium as well."

Re: Jan silly season 2013
Diame sets it straight
Momo Diame has stated his desire to stay at West Ham United
Momo Diame has sought to clarify his position with West Ham United following a recent report in the media.
The Senegal international joined the club last summer and has played a key part in the Hammers' solid start to life back in the Barclays Premier League. The energetic midfielder, who returned from nearly seven weeks out with a hamstring injury in last week's FA Cup game at Manchester United, confirmed he would like to stay with the club.
"I know there are people out there saying things about me but I have spoken with the manager and told him that I want to stay here," Diame said. "I know the club want to keep me too so I will continue to give my best for them. I knew when I signed that West Ham were going to make their mark on the Premier League. Since I came here I am enjoying every game I play on the pitch. I think I made a good choice because I'm very happy at this club."
Speaking after Wednesday night's game with Arsenal, West Ham United manager Sam Allardyce also reaffirmed that Wednesday's press report was both misleading and unsettling.
"I don't think there's anything in the story," Allardyce said. "For me, it's just about agents being disruptive. Mo Diame has not been to me and said he is unhappy in any way.
"We've had no bids from any of the clubs that have been rumoured in the papers. He's our player and hopefully come 1 February he will still be our player.
"Players become unhappy by rumours that are spread. In the build-up to the transfer window, I spoke about the one thing that can upset your players is speculation that people want them. They think it could be the club talking about them in the press but it isn't. All I can say is that there have been no bids from clubs that I've seen in the press like Arsenal or Tottenham for Mo Diame."

That's all very well....for now...........but as long as that £3.5m get-out clause is in his contract we are vulnerable to a bid at the end of the season aren't we?

Either upping it or - preferably - removing it altogether. But I think his agent is playing hardball

Good news if he stays, But I'm sure we herd Yossi say the same before he fupped off. Just a shame they let the rumours go on so long.

Re: Jan silly season 2013
rumours that spuds are going to make a bid. well that's just from some transfer news app I got which cherry picks the best stories from papers (themselves unreliable). Thing is for £3.5 million I cant believe most teams in the premier league aren't interested? he'd be a bargain for anyone.
