We don't want any sacked bods here! "If" there is going to be a replacement I would suggest that the board have it done and dusted already.

You'd be hard pushed to find a manager who has never been sacked, is experienced and is available and in the top 20 of European managers though!

Re: Sam Allardyce
Sam Allerdyce has done all that has been asked of him by the owners.
Give him another 2 year contract.
We can't afford to feek about with our last year at Upton Park.

Re: Sam Allardyce
It does make sense. A lot of people are thinking West Ham are a stable side now but we are only just beginning to show a glimpse of that being so (and any of us over the age of five knows that glimpse can't even begin to be trusted) Stability is key and as we all keep saying; he has done (because EVERYTHING comes down to the manager these days especially) everything that was asked of him; okay it hasn't been pretty at times, it hasn't been consistent (who remembers when West Ham were ever consistent - come on, take those claret tinted glasses off!!) But the simple fact is that this latest regime of board, staff, players and SAM have shown 4 years of progression, stability and some gains in strength as a business and standing.
I don't think it'll happen but I'd take him for getting into the OS IF he outs Nolan!! (Get Shaun Wright-Phillips into pre-season training and get him written off - use him as a coach/inspiration/mouthpiece of Sam in the training field and pitchside if need be!)
Of course, easy for me to say - I don't go along and pay to watch it so neither value or count my opinion as being anything than just that!

Re: Sam Allardyce
Sunderland will not be seeking permission to speak with Sam Allardyce!
Despite Hammers vice chairman Karren Brady claiming in her Sun column that her friends reckon the Irons boss is on his way to the north east, ClaretandHugh has learned the Black Cats will be looking elsewhere.
Gus Poyet’s sacking from the Stadium of Light in the last couple of hours sparked immediate speculation that the Hammers boss could be on his way to the club.
He is priced at 6/1 second best behind even money shot Dick Advocaat and well clear of 16/1 third favourite Paul Lambert.
But ClaretandHugh sources in the north east insisted this afternoon: “Sam is not in the frame for the job. It would have been perhaps convenient for West Ham had be been but he’s not a runner.”
However, it now looks nailed on that Allrdyce’s Irons reign will come to an end after the last game against Newcastle this season.
Upton Park insiders continue to insist a change is now nailed on.
One said: “Nothing’s forever and the search for a new manager has taken on a fresh urgency after the weekend.
The run of results since Christmas is just not acceptable. It would take a miraculous series of results yo change that.”

West Ham step up bid for David Moyes after asking his old scout to lead transfer search
West Ham are ready to [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] after putting his old Everton scout Tony Henry in charge of their summer recruitment policy.
Henry was appointed by West Ham co-owners David Sullivan and David Gold this season and, significantly, the ex-Everton man is understood to be heading the summer transfer plans instead of manager Sam Allardyce’s trusted scout Martin Glover.
Allardyce is yet to be offered a new contract by West Ham and is a candidate to take over at Sunderland at the end of the season, although he does not appear to fit the club's head coach model.
Ironically, West Ham face Sunderland next at Upton Park and that fixture, together with games against Leicester City and Stoke City, may go a long way to deciding the future of Allardyce.
As revealed by Telegraph Sport last month, West Ham have already started drawing up a list of potential candidates to replace Allardyce with Moyes the top choice ahead of Slaven Bilic. Rafa Benitez is also an intriguing option being considered.
Henry worked closely with Moyes at Everton, convincing the former Manchester United manager to sign defender John Stones from Barnsley in January 2013.
Sullivan and Gold have already asked Henry to identify potential signings for next season, although one of the top priorities is to sign right-back Carl Jenkinson on a permanent deal from Arsenal.
West Ham also want a new striker and retain an interest in Tottenham Hotspur’s Emmanuel Adebayor, who was [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] by Spurs chairman Daniel Levy.
Levy may be more willing to do a deal with the Hammers in the summer, when the impact of Adebayor will not be such a source of potential embarrassment to Tottenham, although the player’s £100,000-a-week wages will remain an issue.
It remains to be seen whether the influence of Henry can tempt Moyes back to England this summer, as the Scotsman has told friends that he is happy at Real Sociedad and grateful for the chance the club gave him to step back into management after being sacked by United.
Moyes was appointed Real Sociedad manager in November and signed an 18-month contract with the Spanish club. His reported wages of £1.5m-a-year are significantly less than the £3m-a-year Allardyce currently earns at West Ham.
Sullivan and Gold are determined not to be rushed into a decision over Allardyce, but one win in West Ham’s last 12 Premier League games has piled the pressure back on the former Bolton, Newcastle and Blackburn manager.
West Ham have gone from mounting an unlikely challenge to qualify for the Champions League to slipping down to 10th place in the table and have been hit badly by injuries.
Allardyce played for a year at Sunderland and could be seen by the club as the man to either prevent their annual battle against relegation from the Premier League or try to win promotion back to the top flight at the first attempt.
Bilic may be easier to tempt to Upton Park than Moyes, but the former West Ham defender lacks experience of managing in the Premier League which is an important factor for Sullivan and Gold.
The 46-year-old has managed the Croatia national team and is now in charge of a Besitkas side who are top of the Turkish Super League and knocked Liverpool out of the Europa League.
Former Liverpool manager Benitez, who also took charge of Chelsea for six months, is expected to leave Napoli at the end of the season and has the type of experience that interests Sullivan and Gold if the Spaniard is not snapped up by a bigger club.

He has done nothing at club level. His sides are boring and negative. In addition he shafted us when he was here. Worked his ticket to use us to get to Everton, who at the time were in a "different league" to us

Nope. I was happy to take him on loan in Jan but don't want him permanently unless it is as a back-up to AC when CC goes - and certainly not on £100,000 pwmanurewa hammer wrote:Or Adebayor for that matter !Tony P wrote:Don't want Moyes or Bilic thanks !

yip, what Tony said about adebayor. I can see him ending up somewhere like monaco anyways.
Don't think we can rule out managers based on their paying careers though

I don't want Bilic based on his managerial career at club level. What has he done? What has he won?

Sod all I can image, but then how much was he ever realistically going to win at Croatia or the club teams he was at? Moyes hadn't actually won a trophy when man u appointed him? And as for the people who wanted Di Canio then...
Whenever I watched Billic's sides (not often) they seemed to play nice passing football on the deck. Thats why I fancied Billic.
I guess based on the water they won logic (not bad logic I grant you if a touch impractical for a club of our size) then Benitiez or Di Matteo are good shouts...or 'arry
