Can't say I blame him.
I love West Ham but I would not sign for us.

Re: January Silly Season 2014
Can't say I blame him. We must be seen as a sinking ship with a desperate manager and board. He was probably given the impression that he would play until Reid/Collins/Tomkins are back from injury and then he would be used as a utility cover player
Would you join us?

Part of my post August 2012
Ok, so the Fat Controller keeps us up with this physical, predictable, outdated and ugly type of football, as outlined by our owners and we loose another season playing our "antique take on the game while our competitors have continued to evolve and improve to the next level;EXACTLY WHAT SORT OF PLAYER IS GONNA WANT TO PLAY FOR US?, We are allready devoid of any real quality and struggling to attract quality as any right minded quality " EVOLUTIONARY BALL PLAYERS" are gonna avoid us and our prehistoric football like the plague and we end up havin to watch average journeymen playing UGLY FUCKIN ALLADYCE FOOTBALL for another season with another relegation battle.
I love Our West Ham as much as all of us and hopefully and as so eloquently pointed out by all of ya, am chattin complete and utterly unfounded, misguided and delusional bollicks,
IRONS IN THE SOUL

Re: January Silly Season 2014
when a player who has not had first team football all season long turns you down - when you're offering him exactly what he's been missing... you need to take a long hard look in the mirror...

Everton defender John Heitinga, who says he turned down a switch to West Ham because he felt it did not represent a good career move. He is still looking for a Goodison Park exit after falling down the pecking order under Roberto Martinez, and fresh reports suggest Newcastle are now the favourites to land his signature.
"It's not all about the money, as that wasn't a problem at West Ham United. You have to be fully convinced that you will make the right step and I didn't have that"
Who will want to "fill in" until our regular defence are back on their feet?
We've now got the same problem signing a defender as we had, and still have, signing a forward.
That's the classic attitude of a loser.
"I'm not going to take an opportunity to be a fill in..."
that is EXACTLY what you do.
You take any opportunity you can get and however you get it... because once you do get it you do the best job that's it's possible to do. you make yourself indispensable, you make sure you seize the opportunity to stand out, to shine, to make people see and appreciate you talent and value...
then guess what... the "fill in" becomes the regular, the first team selection.
there's too much bullshit ego in the world today... no one wants to try, to push themselves to actually work at anything.
even a half decent player could stand out in a shower of shite like we have laying for us these days...

Re: January Silly Season 2014
Monaco are said to have just paid £16M for this lad,
from KUMB
West Ham are poised to take giant Monaco-bound striker Lacina Traore on loan for the rest of the season.
The Mail Online claim that Monaco are prepared to allow Traore to leave on loan for the remainder of the current campaign - a situation that is said to have alerted the Hammers, who are now considered favourites to land the player.
Traore moved to the French club earlier this year after they beat off challenges from the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool to land the promising youngster from Russian club Anzhi Makhachkala, for whom he had scored 15 goals in 28 starts - the last of which came in a 2-2 Russian Premier League draw with Lokomotiv Moscow last July.
The 23-year-old Ivory Coast international stands an impressive 6'8" tall - the same height as Manchester City's Romanian goalkeeper Costel Pantilimon, who is the tallest player ever to feature in the Premier League.

From The Stun via BBC Sport
Southampton's England striker Rickie Lambert, 31, wants to move to West Ham in an £8m deal but Saints will not allow him to go before they sign another forward.

I'm sure he was 32 the other day...
